Just that, really. Which designers suit the broader foot? I can get about two toes into a Jimmy Choo Sad

Bump for this as I'd love to know too!Smile

tywysogesgymraeg · 15/09/2013 09:23

They don't exist. I am resigned to just looking good from the ankle up Wink

Almost 50 years of cramming my feet into pretty shoes, strappy sandals etc has taken its toll.

EarlyIntheMorning · 15/09/2013 11:25

Me too. I am desperate to find mid-calf boots with a chunky heel that don't absolutely kill me. Why is that so hard???? I don't think my feet are even THAT wide, I suspect I'm somewhere between a D and an E, but it seems I definitely need a roomier toe area. There's more choice for flats but if you're short like me and want the extra height and still be able to walk, you're screwed it seems.Sad

AngelsLieToKeepControl · 15/09/2013 11:31

I know they aren't designer, but Iron Fist do some bloody nice shoes and boots. my feet are wide and I find the shoes comfortable, and they are the only heels I can walk in. I have just about every type they have taken out.

EarlyIntheMorning · 15/09/2013 12:23

Angels, thanks for the suggestion, I've taken a look, they're not exactly everyday shoes/boots though, are they?

WhoNickedMyName · 15/09/2013 12:28

Designer shoes for wide feet just don't exist.

DH bought me a pair of Louboutins a few years ago, a real treat as I'd always dreamed of having a pair. I was like one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella trying to force my feet into them. Gutted.

PurpleGirly · 15/09/2013 12:30

Try simply be - they have wider shoes and boots from lots of different suppliers

ImpatientOne · 15/09/2013 12:35

I too was hoping to find the answer on this thread!

I dream of the day I can blow hundreds of pounds on designer shoes that fit!

I blame my extensive handbag collection on the misery of going to buy new shoes, finding nothing that fits and buying a handbag as consolation Grin

FamiliesShareGerms · 15/09/2013 13:38

Thanks Purply. Unfortunately the answer seems to be Kurt Geiger, which are nice enough (and I have hd a fair few pairs of KG / Nine West shoes in my time) but not....wow....

CatAmongThePigeons · 15/09/2013 13:40

I want the answer to this too. I can't fit into KG as my feet are far too wide even though the shoes are wider than average.

Mummyoftheyear · 15/09/2013 13:45

And which ones look good with orthotics?!
Lol

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 15/09/2013 14:35

Miumiu I have three pairs of heels from them they are quite robust heels but actually really comfortable.

I got them from outnet a few years ago when I was a lot heavier and my feet were wider they were a little tight but not uncomfortable. Now they fit nicely but with inserts as I must have stretched them.

Chottie · 15/09/2013 14:46

Geoxx ankle boots are comfortable for those like me with Hobbit feet :)
Gabor also have wider fittings. I have spent a lifetime looking for wider fitting shoes. I can't wear Boden shoes at all. I even wrote to Johnnie Boden requesting he did wider fittings, but not even a reply :(

I tend to wear shoes with straps to stop my feet slipping forward. I cannot wear ballerina flats either.

AngelsLieToKeepControl · 15/09/2013 14:48

Early a lot of them are pretty 'out there' but they also have a lot of plainer ones. I'll come back and link to some when I get on a computer.

EarlyIntheMorning · 15/09/2013 15:11

Duo boots are gorgeous but unless I'm mistaking, when they talk about 'wide' they mean wide of calf, not foot. I yet have to find a decent looking pair of below knee chunky heeled boots (around 6cm high) that don't absolutely kill me, like every single pair I've bought in the last 6 years (I didn't seem to have this problem before then).

JennySense · 15/09/2013 16:48

I'm in the same position - lots of handbags as compensation. Afraid outside Clarksville & Duo I've only been able to wear some Fly Londons. Not exactly Loubitons [sob]

tywysogesgymraeg · 15/09/2013 16:54

Ive often thought about having shoes made. But no idea of cost, or where to find a shoe maker. Anyone explored that possibility?

higgle · 15/09/2013 16:56

Duo do have wide of foot fittings, they are the only proper heels I can wear.

EarlyIntheMorning · 15/09/2013 19:08

They do wide fit on their ankle boots but not mid-calf. I wonder why that is.

don't Russell and Bromley do width fittings? I think they might... Stuart Weitzman too

FamiliesShareGerms · 15/09/2013 19:25

I hadn't come across Due shoes, they look a good work shoe. But M&S and Gabor instead of Jimmy Choo and Laboutins??

I have large wide feet (Blush) but I do own a pair of Jiimmy Choos. I had to go for a sandal style instead of closed in, and size up 2 sizes but, once on, they feel great and I feel super glam in them, and I think they make my feet look smaller than they are because of the height.
I did feel like an elephant in the shop though, and tried loads on in loads of sizes, but it was worth it.
