Hair extensions?!

Well I have been considering getting extensions for a while now, I have had clip in ones before and they drove me mad as kept coming out. So I have looked into sewn in ones, I have spoke to my hair dresser and she has assured me that when done correctly there will be no damage to my hair.... But I wanted to hear what everyone else who has had them has to say... So any feedback would be great x x

I had the bonded glue ones - I got two lines instead of a whole head - they looked fab! Everyone admired my hair, I got them for volume as opposed to length so they were cut to below shoulder length. It was very hard finding a hairdresser that would cut them though. I got them twice and second time around I just gradually pulled them out over a few nights while watching tv!!! Kind of like picking a scab - once I started I couldn't stop! They did not damage my hair at all and in fact I would love to get them again when I get the time (& spare cash!) i would totally recommend them!

Thank you! My hairdressers sew them in, cut and style them for you. I really want them but scared by everyone saying my hair will be ruined x

You do see a lot of celebs with thinning partings and bald patches (Coleen, jess wright, kirstin Stewart) I think they can be quite damaging long term.

No! My daughter has just had hers removed. They were the sew in type and what a nightmare. Quite hard to maintain and when removed the hair is very matted at the roots. She says thet are heavy and a bit itchy. She is now enjoying being able to have a 'good' wash. Sorry! You probably didn't want to hear this

I'll bet my bottom dollar that Kate Middleton has extensions, so they can look really good. But you'll need to really pay for quality and for maintenance. They are really harsh on your natural hair.

Personally the idea of wearing someone else's hair on my head gives me the creeps.

Two of the hairdressers where I get my hair cut and coloured have them and they look great, I had to ask if they were extensions. I think it is down to quality and care too.

Try and get micro bead ones. The Swen in ones actually hurt. I had mine washed and blow dried once a week at the hairdresser and took very good care of them, they still looked like an animal had died in my hair after eight weeks
