How to get my old hair back

I used to have soft, silky, easily tangled fine hair.
Now it's a dry, frazzled tangled mess.
It's been slowly turning into a mop head for the past few months.
I have regular trims but do semi per infant home colour.
Is this yet another sign of old age, am 45,or can I save it.
I've tried coconut oil over night, no change at all.
Any tips?

It's a process. You need protein and moisture and no chemicals or heat. Invest in sulphate-free shamps and conditioner. I'm on one month of this regime and the shine and softness is slowly beginning to return.

I can recommend DHC Co Enzyme Q10 shampoo and conditioner. Quite pricey but it comes in 500ml bottles. It is fantastic. If you contact customer services they might send you out a sample, that's how I first tried it.

In addition, use a weekly intensive hair mask, use heat protector and a serum on hair. In ast I have used Fudge one shot for example.

Thanks for replies, can I find these products in boots?
So no hair drying, any tips on how to look presentable for the next month?

DHC is online only, though I think Harvey Nichols carry a small selection. I used to have over bleached, frizzy hair and managed to turn it around.

I'd recommend salon only colour until you improve the condition though. I believe Ojon is now available at Boots. They do a restorative ask that's meant to be very good, I haven't used it though.

I'd really recommend asking for a sample of the DHC stuff
shampoo
conditioner

I am a real convert to it now.

Well if it's necessary to blow dry then I'd invest in a really good heat protection spray. Just like Tweet my hair was frazzled with one too many bleach blonde highlights, but instilled a heat ban on my self until the condition of my hair turns around.

I recommend L'oreal Eversleek...the more you use it the more it starts to improve the hair shaft, so I'm finding as another week goes by of using it, I'm needing my blow-drier and straightener less and less anyway.

I researched new updo's and ways to style my hair using no heat. One of my favourites is to wrap my hair around these:

www.superdrug.com/superdrug/superdrug-bendy-rollers-assorted-colour-12-pack/invt/604054

when it's 85% dry...let hair dry for a couple hours, take out...lovely waves that you can slick down with a drop of serum or oil, hairspray...bob's your uncle.

Lots of ideas on YouTube!

Thanks, I'll buy the ever sleek tomorrow and let my hair air dry for a while.
