Supportive vests

Passthecake30 · 12/09/2013 11:55

Hi ladies....I'm looking for some vests with boob shelfs to wear for bed the long hours I spend in my pjs pre bed

I am 6ft, size 10-12 with ff boobs so something fairly supportive but I don't want the vests with actual bras in from bravissimo...

Any ideas?

I was just coming on to recommend the bravissimo ones. Do you mean the vest tops with underwires from there? I have several of their pj tops and they are brilliant, not wired but supportive for running downstairs to open door for postman!

StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2013 13:42

the bravissimo pj vests are very good and not wired

watching with great interest!

Costco have some, but the 'shelf' is too shallow for my ridiculous 32k's.

I keep looking at those jml wonder bra type things for the very same use.

I thought all the bravisimo ones had an integral bra....thanks for the pj vest info....but they don't look that long?

I just got mine out to measure for you but I've lost my tape measure! But if you send them an email they will let you know the measurements, I know the models are approx 5ft9 if that helps!

I got a jersey nightie of theirs on eBay brand new for £15 so you could always take one of those up. The bra inside is really brilliant because its soft but you're not squished together.

Your other option is a soft cupped bra for sleeping in, but they can be a bit dowdy!

StatisticallyChallenged · 12/09/2013 14:39

the pj's have more support than just a normal support vest-there is a second section of material inside. This has elastic at the bottom which sits just under your boobs like a bra band but much softer then a softly moulded section over the boobs. I think that the ones which are looser are also longer but if you call or email they will probably be able to give you actual length measurements. lepel do some too which apparently have adequate boob space and support

I hadn't spotted the nighties.....think I might try one of those! I prefer to be bare bummed in the night anyway Blush

I've tried the m&s ones but they didn't work for me, it was just a line of elastic under the boobs so you get pushed together (sweaty cleavage) and I wa a 30ff too (now pregnant and size gone through the roof!) so personally I wouldn't recommend them, but they are much cheaper!

Passthecake30 · 12/09/2013 15:07

Those ones say a smooth padded underwired cup, so might not be the greatest thing to sleep in I guess...but I might try just in case.

I've tried loads and these are by far the best. really soft, no wires, but bra-like support.
They take a while to settle down IME - they start off a bit conical.
The others I've tried were too low cut and I'd fall out the top when lying down IYKWIM :)
