That website doesn't look like it's too much work, especially if you're doing a few things together.
If they are colourfast, you can put them all in, some gentle wash and rinse.

I bought a chinese top for DD and though it said DRy Clean the lady said use Stergene or mild shampoo, cold wash and dry flat on a towel.
Worked fine.
Trouble with a machine, is the temperature can vary. Mine does a 30c as the cold wash. So it means the water would heat slightly and that's what does the damage.

Or you could take the one you like least and try in the machine - though it's a waste to put a wash on for one top.

I do just pop them on a wool wash with some gentle cleaner , they come out fine

LadyMud · 07/09/2013 14:39

Definitely don't use biological detergent - the enzymes "eat" silk proteins!

Me too, use woolite on a delicate wash.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 07/09/2013 15:27

Yes woollite or similar on delicate wash, comes out fine.

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/09/2013 16:13

It depends on the silk. I have recently washed a silk crepe camisole with woollite on silk cycle - it shrunk.

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 07/09/2013 16:28

Hmm I am a bit scared my cold wash is warm.
I will give the soap and vinegar method a try.
Don't have wool detergent.
Is hand soap with moisturiser ok do you think?

Even some non bios contain bleach which will break down fibres so I would stick to woolite.

I would use a non bio delicates detergent. You can use woollite, alur (home bargains) or supermarket own make stuff. I use the silk cycle on my machine
