I am sick to death of my bras; I know it's partly due to the fact they are the wrong size but I would love to try some different types.
Can an non wired bra ever give the right support? I am currently sporting slighlty padded t shirt wired jobbies, but am looking for a softer, prettier look

Bra size I am wearing is 38c
underneath is measuring 35.5 and round busters bending over is 43
Ta!

Ok, size wise try a 34FF/G and a 36F/FF.

Have a look at the Panache, Cleo and Freya unpadded ranges. I'm a big fan of the current crop of Cleo bras (Marcie, Melissa and Bella especially).

Non-wired are difficult to fit and personally I wouldn't get enough support (30GG).

thank you...bloody hell! FF/G cup!!!!!! DS will be wearing it on his head

At that size non wired will squash you - you'll end up with pancakes instead of breasts. Well that's what they do to me (I'm a 30gg).

Try panache tango, idina, Cleo juna, bravissimo Alana (which comes up a bit smaller in the cups) and maybe also panache porcelain. All available online at bravissimo or you might be lucky and find them cheap on eBay.

T shirt bras never do anything for me, I need something more structured.

I'm in the same boat, how do you work ou measurements?

I am 35 round and 39 with dangled nooks, always wear a 36c.

I like those sports / t shirt bras. They are comfortable but just not pretty.

SorrelForbes · 05/09/2013 20:55

LumpySpacePrincessOhMyGlob Try a 34D/DD and a 36C/D. I suspect the 34DD will be the best fit. A 34DD is one cup bigger in volume than your current 36Cs. If you scoop whilst wearing a 36C do you get any overspill/bulge? How far away from your body can you pull the band?

LumpySpacePrincessOhMyGlob · 05/09/2013 21:35

If I scoop they get wedged together in the middle. I am really excited now, I'll order a selection of sizes and see how it goes.

Thank you SorrelForbes

How long should I leave it after finishing breastfeeding before I get new bras? I'm getting fed up of just having two! I stopped last week but I'd only been doing one feed at night for the past four months. I had no fullness or anything after stopping so I doubt he was having much anyway. I didn't deflate after I stopped bf last time so not sure if I will this time. I've also lost over a stone recently and two inches off my boobs recently.

Measurements are 30in underneath, 38in when dangling. Very wide set (boobs start under armpits, wide gap with no cleavage) and quite bottom heavy with pretty much no drooping. I've got a 30F Freya Lauren that's a little on the big side on the cups, and a berlei shock absorber in 32F which is a bit tight round the boobs.

Given that info can anyone recommend a perfect bra for me?! If I can find a slightly cheaper one then I won't mind if I shrink a bit more.

NotAsTired · 05/09/2013 23:33

Thanks to the bra interventionists I've found my real size, 30E. I went to both Bravissimo and HoF to check and they confirmed it as well. I look great in the Freya bra that I bought but it's so uncomfortable. By a couple of hours I'm ready to discreetly take it off and not wear it for a few weeks. I tried on loads of bras and none of them feel comfortable. Shoulder strap hurts, wiring hurts and I am constantly re-adjusting the bra to try and get some relief. Any suggestions?

LumpySpacePrincessOhMyGlob · 06/09/2013 07:37

See that's why I end up in the sports bra wireless things. They give me a nice shape, I don't bounce about and I'm dead comfortable.

They are plain and not pretty but so what.

I have ordered some new bras which should come today. Non wired, non padded.

poundworld.net/comfort-bra/

As good as the genie bra.

Pudden · 06/09/2013 09:31

I bought a couple of thise bras Sunday and whilst they are comfy, they provide no support or shape. My jugs were dangling into my soup!

Grin

Not a stealth boast but I am firm of nork, not big and strong chest muscles so I don't need loads of support.
