Zara and Bravissimo - any good?

Have been recommended both of these places but I will need to make a major trip out to go to them.

Was hoping to get some of Bravissimos strappy tops with in built bra and then go to Zara for some funky shorts/ trousers for our brief holiday on Thursday.

It will take me about an hour to get to Nottingham which is the nearest place to here that have both shops. So will it be worth a couple of hours round trip?

Ps I am currently a 34 E bra so can't go without one but I do think at 10/12 am slim enough to wear something strappy and show off upper arms etc. Any other suggestions would be great too...we're going to Disneyland Paris for 4 days so would prefer not to expensive in case it gets dirty etc.

Thanks Smile

Bravissimo fitted bra tops are FABULOUS. I have 32F norks and the vesty tops are great
on me.

I like Zara too.

Is zara very fashionable or reasonable for normal people...I am good at classic dressing but can look a bit boring sometimes I think. I'd just like a couple of good funky things that don't make me look awful.

Also I find cos boobs are a bit out of proportion i can only get into a 14/16 in places like new look will it be the same in zara?

Thanks NomdePlume. Smile

Neena - Bravissimo is definitely worth it. I have a friend that used to travel to London (when that was the only one there was) to get her bras, we live in Stratford on Avon, so it was a fair old trek!
They are fab - would definitely recommend seeing one of their bra advisers, as they are really helpful. in the meantime, have a look on their website if you haven't already. their catalogue is also a good read!
Zara do some really expensive stuff, but they also have a basics range which is pretty reasonable - so I would say def worth the trip on both counts Smile

P.S Enjoy the holiday Smile

Zara do alsorts. Lots of good quality, well made tailoring (their trouser cut is perfect for me, obv that will depend on your bodyshape). I don't find them to be too trendy (a la Topshop etc).

Thanks browniechick and NomdePlume, will drag myself to Notts tomorrow then.

I spoke to Bravissimo on the phone and they did sound lovely and helpful but just wasn't sure if they would be all they were cracked up to be and £30 for a vest top seems a lot as I tend to buy about 5 topshop ones in spring and chuck them in autumn.

Thanks again though, I'll report back tommorrow night!

Thought I'd update you both

Bravissimo was fab, am £250 worse off but finally have some bras that fit am a 32 F though so that was a bit of a surprise. Bought a few tops, three bras, six pairs of pants and a bikini. So well worth the trip.

Zara on the other hand was such a let down. Not anything like as cheap as I expected for the basic things like linen trousers etc and just the same quality as next/doroth perkins etc. Fashionable stuff was too hip so that was a no too.

Notts has a space nk though so spent my zara budget in there!!

Thanks for the advice yesterday though am sooo glad I went. Smile

Ah well. £250 in Bravissimo is fair going !

ooh excellent Neena, thanks for the update Smile
Well done on your Bravissimo purchases - I too could spend a fortune in there! Snap - my boobie-doobies are a 32F too Grin
I have never bought anything from Zara myself, but know people that have.
Gald you found the trip worthwhile.
Brownie Smile
