A few of you really like it. Is it that good? Looking at the website it seems that a lot of it is a bit of a Country Casuals look.

Can anybody recommend any of the six million different types of crew neck cardigan? I want one that gives a good fitted shape, rather than a square boxy shape. I want them in a good range of colours (I'm a HoC sultry winter). They need to be able to go into the washing machine too.

Links to them would be great too.

The website styling is dire, but the knitwear is excellent quality and a great price, particularly as the shops are awash with acrylics. It isn't cutting edge style but brilliant for basics.

It comes up big, though.

I can't help on the cardi choice, as I've only bought jumpers from there (and stuff for DH).

Have you looked at Uniqlo merino cardigans? I've just received my order of v neck sweaters and cardigans and am very impressed. They do crew neck cardigans as well:

what Cointreau said. Website looks quite 1990.(sorry) But the knitwear quality and endurance is awesome. I have their.woollen aran style sweaters (two diff colours).and a fishermans style jumper.
yy to sizes being generous.
They are toasty warm, show no wear and wash well. Excellent prices too Smile (esp the 2for deals)

cardamomginger- the Uniqlo ones are hand wash only but the Woolover ones can go in the machine. Yes. I'm that lazy.

There's a cropped cardi with 3/4 sleeves that might fit the bill. I don't know how accurate the colours are, most look quite muted for a HOC winter, unless you're thinking if the greys.

Some have too many fiddly buttons. The alternative is the killer option: the waterfall.

KosherBacon · 01/09/2013 07:47

Urch. I've realised I'm 32 not 62 and I need to defrump and ditch the waterfall cardigans. They were fine whilst pregnant but not anymore.

I saw some moderate waterfalls elsewhere done up with a scarf ring and it was a good look. I know I'd misplace the scarf ring or forget about if. They'd be a professional hazard for me (leaning over patients).

I have loads of Uniqlo jumpers and I wash them in the machine on a wool wash. I have ordered jumpers from Woolovers but they have all gone back as they are very shapeless.

KosherBacon · 01/09/2013 08:42

Which ones did you order and send back Dexter?

Some are unisex and some fitted for women - I quite like the unisex ones over jeans but they do come up big. Am wearing a cashmere/cotton v neck as I type and it really is lovely & soft. Certainly not cutting edge but v classic

ameliameerkat · 01/09/2013 10:12

I've got some Woolovers jumpers that I've picked up in charity shops, so they seem to last well! I'm not massively enamoured by the fit/style of most of them, but they're nice and toasty warm for winter Grin

dexter73 · 01/09/2013 16:21

I have just looked at my order history but none of the jumpers are still on the website. I have tried a chunky cable knit cardigan, a v neck jumper and a hoody.

KosherBacon · 01/09/2013 16:24

I've just called them to ask which are more fitted. They suggested the chunky jacket and the versatile v neck cardigan. I don't want either a jacket or a v neck, I want a crew so I guess I won't be ordering from them!
