I use Nivea q10. It really suits my skin. You rarely have to pay full price as it's often half price or Bogof in boots and supermarkets.

Littlemissexpecting · 28/08/2013 06:44

No 7. Even cheaper with the vouchers you get all the time or when on 3 for 2

knitknack · 28/08/2013 06:46

I've been using the new la Roche posay retin cream for about 1.5 weeks and seriously cannot believe the improvement in my skin! It's clearer, fresher, more ' glowy' and softer - I am bowled over by this cream!

It's a third off at Boots at the moment so the perfect time to try it - in fact I'm going to order another one while its still discounted!

Redermic with retin a

I'm 41. I've found over this last year that the French pharmacy brands offer mid-priced products that actually WORK (I also use the effaclar duo).

This new cream has been blogged about quite a bit recently (which is how I discovered it). It might be worth googling?

CeeceeBloomingdale · 28/08/2013 07:12

Aldi, seriously. Stupidly cheap yet better than those I've tried cost 10, 20, 50 times more!

Tiredemma · 28/08/2013 07:16

Aldi. Aldi. Aldi.

Seriously.

Tiredemma · 28/08/2013 07:17

Google some f the reviews online

MrsShrek3 · 28/08/2013 10:56

thank you muchly. I do my shopping in aldi so will definitely have a go at that. (whats it called, is that a stoopid question?) have got ordinary nivea so would hopefully not get any allergic reactions to q10 Smile unluckily the boots stuff makes my skin tingle and go red, gah. wish I didn't do that as it sounds good.
Thanks all of you

I have been using Boots No7 intensive serum for ages, but tried the Aldi Lacura serum for the first time yesterday. Smelt lovely, felt great, no reaction and made my skin feel smooth.

Too early to say more, but so far so good and it's less than a quarter of the price!

tobiasfunke · 28/08/2013 11:11

I use La Roche Posay hydraphase intensive and intensive riche depending on how dry my skin is. I usually get if for about £12 online I think it's great as I break-out a lot with other face creams.

I use old fashioned Nivea lard type cream at night but I bought some Nivea q10 and have ended up with a rash after a few weeks so had to chuck it.

tobiasfunke · 28/08/2013 11:12

I'm 44 btw and my skin has got really dry.

BellaVita · 28/08/2013 11:12

Liz Earle is nice.

cardamomginger · 28/08/2013 11:31

I'm almost 42 and have sensitive/dehydrated skin. I use La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intensiv Light in the day and Rich at night and the Redermic Eye Cream. For lines I use ROC Wrinkle Filler every other night in place of the LRP. All available at Boots, and they frequently have 3 for 2 offers. I use serums from Skin Ceuticals each morning (CE Ferulic alternating with Phoretin CF) , which I get from an amazing Ebay seller who sells 4ml vials (last 4-6 weeks) for about £8.00.

My skin looks better than it did 15 years ago.

MrsDavidBowie · 28/08/2013 13:35

Pricier, but I swear by Age Smart Dermalogica.
Lasts about 6 months..just ordered some online for £48. That's about 3 coffees a month from Costa Grin

HappyAsEyeAm · 28/08/2013 14:50

I'm an estee lauder devotee, but I have been sampling the protect adn perfect (or whatever the range is called for people in the 30s) by No 7, and its brilliant. Often on 3 for 2. I am 38 btw with dry skin.

Tiredemma · 28/08/2013 15:33

Aldi one is Lacura Q10

AmberLeaf · 28/08/2013 15:35

MrsShrek3 · 28/08/2013 16:50

I like decleor hydrafloral

Perplexing · 29/08/2013 23:37

Another vote for Aldi serum.

Have not yet tried the cream, but sounds like that's good too?

FoundAChopinLizt · 29/08/2013 23:38

E45 or Aveena with Piz Buin factor 50 mixed in.

bellabelly · 29/08/2013 23:42

The moisturiser from Lidl is awesome and cheap as chips.

Ikeameatballs · 29/08/2013 23:46

I have just come to the end of a tub of Cien moisturiser from Lidl and my skin has been great on it. Much better hydrated, no flaky bits and no breakouts.

I am now going to trial the Lacura one from Aldi and then decide between the two!

SignoraStronza · 29/08/2013 23:51

Aldi's 'SYN-AKE' serum. Comes in a faux syringe type packaging and contains synthetic snake venom or something. £6.99 I think. Works like a mild boric and has completely got rid of my frowny vertical forehead groove.

sophiedaal · 29/08/2013 23:57

That Hydraluron gel is AMAZING, and still 1/3 off at Boots. I've got very sensitive rosacea prone skin and it's glowy at the moment.
