I have very fine, highlighted hair that's shoulder length.

I've recently switched to tresemme keratin shampoo & conditioner & my hair is in a terrible state Hmm. I've just had to have around 2 inches cut off & am gutted.

I have it cut every 6 weeks & coloured every 12 but its never been so dry.

Can anyone please recommend some alternative products?

I try to avoid anything which has loads of silicone as it weighs my hair down & makes it really greasy.

Max I'd like to pay is 5/6£ per bottle.

TIA

Watching with interest - my hair hasn't been nice since I moved from Scotland to the Midlands - obvously the water.

Have tried a different shampoo every time I've run out but never found a good one. Tresemme was without a doubt the worst though.

I'm using one just now called Phil Smith from Sainbury's which is ok but not great.

Sorry I've been no help at all Smile

I have just ordered sebastian volupta shampoo from beauty bar , my hairdresser uses it on my hair and it's fab . It's about £10 a bottle so I am treating myself .
Has great reviews on makeupalley.

Have you tried ojon stuff for damaged hair, may be worth investigating, they sell it in boots.

Aussie products are great - & think about b vitamin complex supplements for longer term hair condition?

hashtagwhatever · 27/08/2013 22:48

Aussie mirical moist shampoo and condioner are really good works well for me. and the leave in serum

Try Alberto Balsom, lots of different types and they all smell gorgeous (esp Pomegranate) and just £1 a bottle. They claim to use the same ingredients as expensive brands.

My hairdresser (who has won national awards) thinks Dove is good.

Thanks Smile

I just found a bottles of miracle moist conditioner in the cupboard so have used that this morning.

I'll investigate the others & give one (or all of them!) a try

Try a bit of argan oil :)
I stopped using conditioner now, I use head and shoulders for shampooing, towel it, a few drops of argan oil and that's me done.

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/08/2013 07:43

I use morrocan argan oil shampoo and cond. My hair is in much better condition since I started using it.

HavingAnOffDAy · 28/08/2013 10:27

Dilidali - what type of hair do you have?

I'd like to try that but worry my hair would end up lank/greasy by the end of the day

Mine is very dry, curly and coloured
I swear by l'oreal ever riche and then use this as a deep treatment (you can get it even cheaper in Sally's)

If you are trying to avoid silicone, then Aussie is what you need (according to my hairdresser!).

COCKadoodledooo · 28/08/2013 12:14

Second the Alberto Balsam! I use the blueberry (coloured hair) shampoo and conditioner. Wash every other day and my hair is now in great condition. Much better than when I used Pantene/Tressemé/L'oreal - doubted it would be at £1 a bottle but have been pleasantly surprised Smile

*Havinganoffday*Very very fine (but lots of it). Think NEVER managed a curl or a wave with it, within 10 minutes after the hairdresser has finished her hour long styling it goes all flat again.

I only use a pea size blob of oil.

HavingAnOffDAy · 28/08/2013 21:12

Sounds pretty much like mine then Grin

Will give it a go - thanks

I'm also going to try the Alberto balsam one so will report back
