HOC - worth it?

I am thinking of asking for a voucher for HOC for my b day.
I will be 41 and really have no clue about clothes.
I wear a lot of black and white, blue and grey.
I have dark hair (dyed as I am very grey) and have boden eyes and sallow skin.
Anyone had a consultation?
What can I expect?

Watching with interest as I've just E-mailed my local HOC consultant.

What are boden eyes? Eyes for Boden clothes only? Grin

I had mine done at the weekend and it was a revelation! I was wearing completely the wrong colours before. It's a fun day too.

Be warned, they might tell you to get rid of all your black clothes though!

Gah! Brown eyes!

Not HoC, but I had my colours analysed a long time ago. The main thing is it saves you money in the long run because you know better what colours suit you, so you don't end up buying the wrong ones!
It also gives you colours you may not have thought of. I kind of stick to mine. I'm an autumn, so suit warm shades, but I kind of knew that. I do find, though, that I can never go wrong with a warm pink or even red. Sounds dotty, but it just suits me.
Something that works for me is to wear brighter colours on my top half and neutrals on the bottom half, to avoid looking washed out.
It's a good investment, I hope you enjoy it!

It was worth it for me. I had it done four years years ago and haven't looked back. I know what colours and styles suit me and am finally now getting together a wardrobe I'm happy with (it's taken a while because I'm an odd shape and building up things gradually because of cost).

DH has done it too which has made my life easier when I see a shirt or somesuch when I'm out shopping, I can get it and know it will be ok and he won't turn his nose up at it.

Well worth every penny.

Thank you.
I will ask for vouchers for my birthday.

I hope it's worth it as I'm having mine done next week. I need to do a big clear out and to replenish things like basic t's, new cardis etc. I'm hoping that ill end up with a core palette of clothes that will coordinate well and I will have a capsule wardrobe in the end.
