Art Deco, pregnant bridesmaid...

My lovely BM will be 6 months pg at our Art Deco themed wedding, can you help me find a gorgeous (but not too expensive!) deco-y/ 30's-ish style maternity dress please? I don't want anything too bridesmaidy and a neutral colour or metallics would be best.
:)

This could be lovely

bulletwithbutterflywings · 16/08/2013 14:17

That is lovely! Not sure what size she would be though? She is size 6-8 usually but she says she's been eating like a horse to stave off the nausea lol! So she might have gone up a size by the wedding. She's very wee as well 5'2 I think so do you think that kind of hem is a good idea on a shortie?

That is gorgeous tethersend

this?

Seraphine

Some art deco/30s styles are very relaxed around the middle so you might be able to go for a non-maternity dress...

Too short?

Seraphine

Oops messed up links sorry!

Here is the Frock and Frill one again

And I must love the Seraphine one as I posted it twice...

MadBusLady · 16/08/2013 14:30

It's not specifically maternity but I wonder if this would work? Has an empire line and room for extra boobage. You could always deco it up with the right headpiece and little jacket.

Bluestocking · 16/08/2013 14:31

That Isabella Oliver one is gorgeous! Do you think it would look OK on a non-pregnant lady?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 16/08/2013 14:31

They are all gorgeous except the first one, the seraphine one would be perfect! But they're all far too expensive :(

The frock and frill one is a great price! And definitely along the right lines.

How about this or this?

This is beautiful, but expensive, or you could go for something simple like this?

We had a similar aesthetic and one of my bridesmaids was also pregnant, so we went with this sort of a look. You can get pretty much anything altered if you buy it in a larger size, but it's hard to do it ahead of time if the person doesn't know how big they'll be and beading can cause problems, so we decided an empire line would be easiest.

Congratulations on your big day :)

This is a bit more reasonable, or perhaps this, although it depends how big her bump is at that point... Or even something like this?

mummybare · 16/08/2013 15:35

Your dress looks beautiful by the way. Makes me want to go to a wedding!

DrinaDancesInParis · 16/08/2013 16:35

I heart your dress too!
