HAir - Highlights to natural

Is anyone good with hair solutions? Have quite a lot of blonde highlights currently (since last summer) and am over it now.

Is the best solution just to use brown colours, accept they will wash off a bit (and possibly look quite good as they do so) and wait for highlights to grow out?

Anything else I can do? Went I asked my hairdresser in June he kind of blatantly refused to do it as it would wash out and I had more highlights.

It has taken me 18 months to grow out my highlights and it hasn't been too painful at all.

The last time I had my highlights I went for less blonde and had some low lights put in as well. When it started to grow out it grew out naturally and the roots just blended in.

I think it's the only way to do it really as a dark colour all over will fade.

I have done this before. You have to be careful dyeing it brown as the blond underneath can turn greenish.
Either dye it with something with a hint of red or you can get a violet wash that takes the green tinge away. They sell it in boots.

I've been growing mine out for 2 yrs and am having a permanent all over colour every 5 weeks (due to grey) roots) new hairdresser today commented on it looking green! Anyway have had a new colour on all over today and some highlights under my hair if that makes sense to give it movement

I had mine taken back to my natural mouseyish colour by my hairdresser - it took ages as she had to do two dyes, one I think to neutralise the blonde and one to add my natural colour. It worked really well but I hated it and had a few highlights put back in a few days later! Short point is it can be done but it's a long process and your hair needs to be in decent condition.

God, it sounds a hassle. I should have learnt this by now - blonde is trouble!

I think I have to do it, hoping to get pg early next year and dont want to be doing blonde dyes whilst pg so best get started now.

I just grew mine out for six months. It looked like shit so I went blond again last week. So much for natural suiting you better, I looked half dead!
