I am looking for a foundation with good coverage that doesn't look mask like? I have tried Vichy Dermablend which I find a bit orange or something, even though I use the palest one (I am naturally very pale ) and it just doesn't last well through the day. I am using Estee Lauder Double Wear at the moment and its better although still not right, somehow. Any other suggestions I could try?

I like MAC foundations. Studiofix provides me with good coverage and it looks fairly natural with finishing powder over the top.

Lancombe Teint Visionnaire
Or their Miracle Ultra.

When you say good coverage do you mean full coverage? Estée Lauder do Full Coverage. When you say you are very pale, how pale are you? You might need to look a range like Dainty Doll if you are very pale.

If you are super pale (like myself) then Urban Decay's foundation is very good. It's very light going on the skin so you don't feel 'caked' & is a very close match, so you won't get the 'orange' look. I suffer from very bad skin so rely on concealer etc to cover blemishes but as a base foundation UD is marvellous!

Thanks for those suggestions!
KosherBacon I am very pale, milk white but have a lot of redness and blotchiness in parts so need full coverage. The paleness isnt too much of an issue because I do generally apply Loreal fake tan all over during the summer so have a more normal colour :)

I like covergirl the long lasting one for combo skin
it lasts forever and covers nicely

i've just bought bourjois 123 perfect which is cheap (£11) and fabulous coverage/evens out patches/lasts all day, totally impressed

Hi I like the Dermablend foundation. What I have found is that the concealer stick in the same range is lighter in colour - doesn't budge and I use Max Factor Powder to set it

It is really good for full coverage (used to have angry acne).

I only have experience with Dermablend. Other than that, I've used Diorskin Nude, but I think that's more of a medium coverage.

Have you considered using light to medium coverage foundation on the areas of the face that have good skin, and then concealer/full coverage on the areas that aren't as good? I did that when my hormonal acne was at its worst and it looked much better and more natural than when trying with a full coverage foundation all over.

For redness and blotchiness, you might find that a green primer can cancel the redness out a bit. Clinique makes a range of skincare and foundation called redness solutions - that might also help a bit.

Keromask might also be helpful - you can mix your own colour if the ones they've got aren't right for your colours. I haven't tried it myself but have read good things about it on blogs.
