Talk to me about pink knitwear

Okay- I used to wear pinks in my 20s, but then outgrew them. I have not had anything pink for over 20 years. I suit pink- I'm pale with blonde hair. But for me it has connotations now of old ladies or very young mummies, and can be an instant 'middle ager'- even though I am!

I usually wear neutrals especially grey and teal/blues.

I've got my eye on a couple of cashmere cardis- one in bright pink (Boden) and another from M&S ( pale pink).

Of the 2, which is the most youthful for a 50 something size 8 -10, who looks younger than she is ( so I am told.)

Have you got links to the cardi's?

Just going by your description, I'd say the bright hot pink would be more youthful & flattering to your skin tone.

I'm blonde with pale skin and it is on me anyway in comparison to pale dusty pinks

  • should have said, it depends on the style & cut of the knitwear too as to how 'frumpy' it can/cannot be!

Bright pink, definitely (from another 50 something)

Thanks! Had ordered before I saw these posts and it's the bright pink!
Glad we all agree!
