Regardless of whether you like her style,
and please cover your eyes about the source

its pretty impressive that she has kept her shape so well for so many years while not trying to stay looking young

My mum could probably fit into things she wore 30 years ago though.
She has never really deviated from a size 12-14.
(But only buys cheap tat so none of it would have lasted 30 years)

ClaraOswald · 30/07/2013 16:56

Considering I was 3, absolutely none of them!

RussiansOnTheSpree · 30/07/2013 16:58

I have a few clothes from then (I was 16) and they all still fit me, yes.

Takver · 30/07/2013 17:00

If you make it 25 years I can do it! (I only know this because I dug to the bottom of my cupboards recently for an 80s retro disco Grin )

WildThongsHeartString · 30/07/2013 17:05

I still fit my socks

That is all

3 or 4 years ago I'd say I could, but sadly there seems to have been some serious clothes shrinking in my wardrobe in the last 5 years Sad
I haven't got hat many clothes from that long ago though Grin

snowmummy · 30/07/2013 17:08

some of those outfits shouldn't have been worn once let alone twice :D

foxysocks · 30/07/2013 17:18

I was 3, so none. But some of my early 20s buys still fit, if anything I prefer my body shape now in my early 30s. More yoga, better food, less beer. Win win.

orangeandemons · 30/07/2013 17:27

Never mind clothes sizes, my feet seem to have grown from a 6 to an 8 and not sure why Hmm

comingintomyown · 30/07/2013 17:34

I was 17 and wouldnt even get my chubby calf into trousers from then

Happypiglet · 30/07/2013 17:42

I was 13 30years ago and can still get into my Guide shirt and a pair of jeans I had at 15... and an extremely baggy grey cardigan that my mum knitted that was always too big... I don't wear any of these things you understand but they are in the loft and recently I tried them on for a laugh!!

ladymontdore · 30/07/2013 17:45

None, I was 5. But yesterday I was wearing my favourite shorts from Gap bought when I was 17/18; nearly 20 yrs & 2 DCs ago. I'm pretty sure I'm the same size but used to be a 10 now an 8, and sometimes and 8 is too big.

Tigresswoods · 30/07/2013 17:49

Fair play Princess Ann! Good work.

I can get into all clothes I had when I was 18. Am 33 now.

I just made the mistake of clicking the link [ shock]
My eyes are now bleeding............ Is she purposefully wearing shockingly horrendous clothes?

CMOTDibbler · 30/07/2013 18:02

I'd be fine as I'm really slim atm. Unfortunatly my mum would also easily fit into clothes from 30/40/50 years ago as she has lost a lot of weight as dementia has made her forget what food is and how to swallow.

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2013 18:06

Not 30 years but I can fit into early twenties stuff now.

SingingSands · 30/07/2013 18:07

Had to laugh at the first item in the link being a HAT. Nobody outgrows a hat, surely?!

Kendodd · 30/07/2013 18:09

Well, not 30 years ago, but I can still fit into the clothes I had when I was a teenager. I was fat then, and I'm fat now!

BaronessTeapot · 30/07/2013 18:11

I was 21 and I am the same weight now.

My shape is different though with my waist at least a couple of inches bigger. So I guess I would be okay in most things unless they were very fitted.

JohFlow · 30/07/2013 18:13

I was 7 - so I think I could just about squeeze one leg through an old skirt Grin

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2013 18:13

My shape is a bit different too.

Talkinpeace · 30/07/2013 19:04

Whoknows
Anne has always had 'idiosyncratic' tastes
but she does not give a stuff what others think and, more to the point
has held her figure for 40 years - something a lot of women should and can aspire to

I was clearing out my parents' loft at the weekend and found a ball dress I had at University nearly 20 years ago. It still fitted and did up, but I am decidedly less pert now.

My mum fits into the same clothes she did 20 years ago but that is more of an indication that her diets don't work long term.

RedPencils · 30/07/2013 19:39

Nothing I was 10. Wish I could get into clothes from 20 years ago though.

However whilst I admire her thriftiness (and obviously she's buying posh stuff that's made to last) why the fuck would you keep the stuff she wears. The purple trousers and yellow blouse combo is horrific no matter what decade she's wearing it in.

ToastedTeacakes · 30/07/2013 20:03

I'm 39 and much smaller these days than when i was younger (teens, early 20's, etc). Not much to chirp about though, because I think not being able to keep much weight on is tied to my anxiety disorder and a recent-ish trauma. I don't like my body though, it's more about shape in my opinion than actual weight or size. I'm just scraggy Blush
