Hi all,

I'm a size 16, 5ft 2, and have £200 to spend on revamping my wardrobe but have no clue where to start!! I'm basically starting from scratch, have autumn/winter in mind but not writing off summer completely.

Where do I start?! Shall I hit somewhere like primark and buy loads or go to one of my faves (have only ever browsed) like fat face, phase eight, white and buy 2/3 bits....

I'm not a fan of jeans as have horrendous tummy and overhang from 3 c-secs! Quite like tunic style dresses, open to suggestions really..

Have tried to post a pic to help, not sure if it'll work!

Thanks!

I'd buy 2 or 3 key pieces than you can work in different ways, Great Plains has some nice new winter stuff...

great plains shift with leggings or tights

Good quality staple dress with a cardi boots or flats

pattern skirt, with cream t/sweater & tights/boots

All of these you can wear with winter boots, plain tops you can mix and match with or leggings & flats.. All these would work great with your colouring..

Just wanted to recommend the marks and spencer jeggings which are a brill alternative to jeans, look like skinnies but feel like comfy leggings, elasticated waist and high waisted so no muffin issues

I'd buy them and a pair of decent leggings (boden, mint velvet or American apparel do decent non see thru leggings) and then maybe 3 tunics to go with both.
Some bargains in the boden clearance, this is left in a 14 but their stuff is generous

And definitely a nice printed scarf to finish off your outfits. Try and choose a colour palette before you start so everything goes together.

Department store and a personal shopper.

Explain your budget and what you want from your clothes (ie your lifestyle). Don't take your mum/partner/friend.
