is it possible to wear them without looking like a drag queen.....i keep trying with them but cant quite get them right.

often the corners dont stick down properly.
i cant get them close enough to the lash line to not see a gap
and why in all thats holy do they give you WHITE glue???

after about an hour pissing about i managed to get them both on and in a reasonable enough position to venture out of the house.....

does practice make perfect?

They rarely look natural, I love spotting them (they seem to be especially fashionable at the moment) but I suppose that's possibly not the reason people wear them.
I use a fibre mascara instead, and it's very very good.

The lashes are meant to be trimmed to size before sticking, if not you get the ends lifting.

Before applying the glue, hold to lashes to see how much needs to be trimmed off.

It's also a good idea to bend them a little to make them more flexible. Offen lashes have a coating along the last line, by bending them this reduces the 'stiffness' and makes them more workable.

You can buy clear glue or black glue which is so much better then the white PVC looking stuff!

Ideally you should get individual lashes on place on the outer section of the lash line or if this is too tricky look for the 3 quarter or butterfly lash.

Final tip, apply lash glue to the false lash and leave for at least a minute until the glue becomes tacky, this make it easy to stick and tends to stop them sliding.

tried all that barbie - i still look like lilly savage.

ive had individual lashes done at a salon and while i absolutely loved them they tore out my own lashes so loathe to do that again. also tried lash extensions which promptly fell off after a day.

ive wiggled them.
ive put glue on and left them to get tacky
ive trimmed them to size
they still look too false.

i love the effect that falsies give - they make my eyes look huge, but i want a natural look.

Are you trying quite fancy ones? I don't wear them often but when I do, even when going out I have very natural-looking ones. Mine but better, if that makes sense. Eyelure Naturals from Boots.

I really dont think these ever look good. Unless you WANT a very false, OTT look for a fancy dress party or something.

might try a much more natural falsie then - these werent really fancy ones but i wouldnt call them natural either.
after that i think i give up.....

Strip false lashes can absolutely look natural. It's a case of choosing the right style. These ones are my favourites for a natural look on brides, for example - www.superdrug.com/eyes/ardell-fashion-lashes-black-110/invt/591882

The other thing you can do is to trim the strip. If you have a fairly fine set (ie. not solid thick hairs that you see on drag queen type lashes) that get progressively longer along the strip, trim them so that the shorter 2/3 of the strip are glued to the outer 2/3 of your lid. This makes it a lot easier to avoid the corners not sticking down issue too as you're not dealing with a whole strip.
