DD1(15) would like some of the above, ladies size 12. Her M&S ones are driving her mad.

I can't help as I find Marks ones OK and most of mine are older ones when the material and cut was better.

Always size up in M&S knickers otherwise not enough fabric used - suppose that makes them cheaper to manufacture!

BikeRunSki · 28/07/2013 17:52

Gap

finlaysmum12 · 28/07/2013 20:19

I find the "boy short" shape and sizing up works. also, those non-VPL knickers don't seem to migrate!

I only wear these now

www.clothingattesco.com/shorts/f+f-2-pack-of-seamfree-shorts/invt/ca939034/

They come in a variety of colours. Very light weight, and don't ride up.

My expensive Triumph knickers were worth every penny.

trice · 28/07/2013 21:09

Sloggi are great. They last forever so cost per wear works out cheaper in the long run.

cloudskitchen · 28/07/2013 21:21

I always go up a size. Nothing like uncomfortable knickers to drive you bonkers. I tend to wear m and s but know sloggis to be good Smile

cafenoir · 28/07/2013 22:10

My favourites are sloggi and also Gaps. Gap do 3 for £10 offers from time to time. Sloggi are xpensive but I agree that they do wash/wear very well. Actually so do the Gap now I think about it.

NoComet · 28/07/2013 22:13

she'll scowl at a size bigger, but it's worth a try. We only have a gap outlet, but I may be near neara proper one later in the holidays.

Gap always made brilliant socks.

Sloggi long legs are the answere to thigh chaffing, but a bit £££ for every day.

Asda no vpl pants 2 4 £6 work for me, I hate being uncomfortable.

cafenoir · 28/07/2013 22:49

I don't size up in Sloggi Travelin

NoComet · 28/07/2013 23:37

Are ASDA NVPL cotton? DD has some shiny non cotton M&S ones she hates for the reason all women hate acrylic knickers.

Horray, it sounds like said DD1 and her younger sister have finally gone to bed, rather than reading this over my shoulder, talking a lot and sitting on me.

whitequeen I actually took a pack of pants back to m&s after wearing a pair (I did wash them obv) as there's no way they were vpl. They refunded with no quibbles at all.

AmberNectarine · 29/07/2013 08:39

I've recently discovered Gilly Hicks pants and am loving them. They are on 5 for £20 at the moment. Very teen friendly also - the lace boy short style ones are fab!

TravelinColour they have a website, I have just ordered 5 pairs of lacy shorts for £20 after reading this thread, delivery £5. They look very comfy.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 29/07/2013 12:13

boden knickers are fab for coverage. dd1 has a butt that swallows knickers too and these are fab they don't ride up and give her wedgie as she so delicately describes it. also gap (they sell them online and true to size so the xxl should fit dd from the kids range www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?cid=89737&vid=1&pid=000739969001)

and john lewis www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-girl-shortie-briefs-pack-of-2/p39465

www.marksandspencer.com/Pack-Seamfree-Assorted-Bikini-Knickers/dp/B004QL2Q0Q?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_2&nodeId=325967031&sr=1-2&qid=1375096404

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 29/07/2013 12:16

these are good as well and pretty, I wasn't sure they would give dd the coverage she needed at the back but so far so good, shes 7 and half so I brought 7-8 and they are a good size.

we are obsessed with pants in this house and have far too many.

I swear by sloggi or m&s full briefs but I should imagine a 15yr old girl would find them too old fashioned and granny pants.
