At the start of this year (as I turned 34) I decided to have my long brown hair chopped off to just below the shoulder.

I have mostly come to terms with my new do, and like it a lot especially in this heat and the handiness is great, but i REALLY miss my long tresses when going out for the night!

Do any if you lovely ladies have any experience of using clip in extensions? I don't want to look like a page 3 stunna, but would like done if my old swish back!

Any suggestions?

TIA Pxx

Hi. I've always had long thick hair so never had the need for extensions.

However...

After my first visit to a new salon for a 'trim' i came back with my hair to my shoulders.

I spent a whole day googling reviews and watching reviews on youtube and settled on HeadKandy.

They are brilliant. My friend has tried several leading brands and when i let her borrow these ones, she said they were the best she's seen.

My advice is to not go to long or they will look fake. I got ones that go just past my shoulder. My hair's grown back now so i don't actually use them. But will be keeping them by for use after my next 'trim'.

For some reason, i can't find their website now. But definitely worth checking out.

I don't use them myself but my sister does and she has had no problems at all with her clip in extensions. Hers are human hair which she says is better as you can heat style them unlike synthetic ones and they look more natural. She bought hers from a Caribbean hair shop which specializes in different extensions, wigs and beauty treatments. A specialist shop should have many, many colours so you can get a good colour match and they can advise you on how best to put them in. My sister says her top tip is to back comb the area they are going to be clipped into as it helps the clips grip better. Hope that helps a bit Smile

Thank you ladies I shall check these out, also good tip on not going too long! I automatically assumed that the longer the better, and didn't think about the thickness giving it away that it was fake!

Now to find a decent colour match and I'll be swishing away like a good 'un!!
Smile
