Bra intervention advice please!!

Sheer curiosity really. I think my bras fit. I'm wearing a 34ff at the moment.

However, Freya doesn't fit at all in that or similar size.

Measuring the intervention way, I'm 33 under and 44(!) over.

What should I be oh wise women?

Try 32H and HH to start with, and possibly 34GG and H. How do they look when you scoop repeatedly?

Loolumboolum · 25/07/2013 21:42

Ah. Scooping not too much of a worry as I had a reduction in 2002 so my shape is artificial iyswim?

Loolumboolum - hope it works for you. I lurked on one of the other bra threads and now have some 30Ds from M&S sale winging their way to me. (I tried some on to see if it really worked before putting money anywhere!).

My only prob is what to do with the pile of 34Bs I bought pre-weight loss...my 1 34A that I bought pre-intervention is ok as it's a halterneck fancy thing, not everyday wear anyway.

It is really silly the mental boost that it is giving me to be a D cup rather than a lowly A! They are tiny whatever you name them (but they have done a good job)

Ah in that case ignore my advice then. It may still be that you're in a cup size or or so too small, but I suspect that if the reduction had given you a partcularly specific shape then you will need to fit to the shape, and not necessarilly the tape measure. And different brands and styles can have very different fits in the same basic size. If you've read all the fitting sections on the blog and are confident that your current sizes and styles really do fit well, then maybe we can recommend some styles similar to those you have, if you're looking for a change?

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/07/2013 21:49

That can make a difference loolum - my friend has had a reduction and now measures a bit bigger than she wears because everything is kind of compact! Have a look at the fit checks listed on the blog so you can do it by fit instead.

Freya are quite wide wired - it could be that you now have a relatively narrow root? If so you might like Cleo bras

Sorry to threadjack but I just want to say thank you bra intervention women. I went from an m+s 36B to a freya 34DD (35 and 40 measurements). I sent for it and still doubted (material a tiny bit crinkley over the upper boob - was used to bursting out of cups!) so went into Debenhams and the fitter was convinced I must have been fitted for it. You're right, it does have a wide wire, which gets my side boob in!

My tits have never been so happy. My clothes are sitting on me properly. I didn't know it could be that breasts wouldn't ache by the end of the day.

Thank you ever so much Bra Interventionists. Grin

My current best fits are actually a debenhams full cup (!). I'm dying to try some more balconette styles without feeling like I can't lean forwards!
