the big lines on chest above boobs in a 'V' shape... how do we get rid?

You know those lines you get, especially if you have big boobs and are a certain age?
I'm only 38 but I appear to be that age...
Is there anything to be done about it or do I have to have a big V on my chest forever now?

I remember someone saying you should always sleep on your back, not your side, to help avoid this. High factor sunscreen and lots of moisturiser.

Bunbaker · 24/07/2013 19:36

I'm just Envy that you have big boobs.

happyreindeer · 24/07/2013 19:54

I lost weight and mine faded a lot.

FrameyMcFrame · 24/07/2013 19:54

Oh well, I always sleep on my side, don't think I casn change that now though.
High factor sunschreen then

Oh god yes! I have this and actually now I think of it, it fa's diminished since I've lost weight - also have been religiously moisturising so maybe it's a combination of both? Have read that a light application of oil also helps the appearance of it.

peggotty · 24/07/2013 19:58

Has not fa's!!

missbopeep · 24/07/2013 20:03

I don't see how anyone can sleep on their back all night. They say you change position 60 times a night in your sleep- so how you stay on your back beats me. Any fat in that region def makes it a lot worse.

Coconut oil massaged in at night helps soften lines like that.

shaggyrogers · 24/07/2013 20:42

This sort of thing Po.
I always sleep on my back as I get uncomfortable on my side or front.

madmomma · 24/07/2013 20:52

God I'm starting with those and I'm only 34. I see the beginnings of my Mother's decolletage. Can't be sundamage in my case cos I'm lily white and always covered in moisturiser + spf. For me it's definitely sleeping in crumply positions and carrying extra weight on my upper body. Joy joy joy.

TweenageAngst · 24/07/2013 20:58

I am 45 and have really only noticed it this year tis grim. I have extended my face serum/cream application down to my boobs and it looks a bit better-its more obvious when tanned.

missbopeep · 24/07/2013 20:59

Mine are bad in the morning but soften a bit as the day goes on.You can get them filled with filler I've heard, but would cost a lot! Bras that push everything together into a cleavage don't help either- back to lift and separate!

FrameyMcFrame · 24/07/2013 21:21

Yes I'm a bit sunkissed and that makes it more noticeable.
It's not as bad as that picture!!! It's just one clear line on each side.
I do have big boobs (34f) for my size but I'm not overweight, my BMI is 23 so I don't feel I should be loosing any weight necessarily.

I am 44 and it's a lot worse when I wake up than by mid morning. I sleep on my sides mostly judging by my hair when I wake up.

I moisturise like mad these days. Nivea in the blue bottle and I sweep Clinique moisturiser down my neck and chest. Vast improvement.

In the sun factor 30 mostly for the grease factor also works. Mine looks better when I have a tan, but that goes for me all over.

MrsDesperado · 24/07/2013 21:39

I saw this Nightbra mentioned on another thread. Can't find any reviews but am intrigued if it works.

changeforthebetter · 24/07/2013 21:46

Nearly £50 for a bra out of which your norks hang?? Shock I. Would love a good night bra but not at all persuaded by that.

AntoinetteCosway · 24/07/2013 21:48

I've had those since I was about 16. (32FF.) Don't think they're going anywhere sadly.

2kidsintow · 24/07/2013 21:50

I have these (39 years old). I find they look worse in the morning. I too have started moisturising my face and now carry on down my chest too.

Sunscreen on that area, and avoid too much sun.

Higher necklines are something I've got used to - although I have big norks, so have to balance the dip of the neckline to try and get something that covers this area a bit more, but doesn't cover up to my neck as it makes my chest look even bigger.

Dieting is something I'm trying to do (and failing!)

MrsDesperado · 24/07/2013 21:51

Haha I do chuckle at what DH would think of he saw me wearing it change.
I've found reference to another one too, looked on Selfridges but doesn't seem to be stocked any more wonder why

£50 is a lot but it would be nice to stop the wrinkles appearing, no?

FrameyMcFrame · 25/07/2013 09:38

oooh crikey that's interesting. and bizarre!

I think I would buy one but I'm saving up for my holidays at the moment so it will have to be after that.

That picture could be me !

I'm 45 so old but I am a size 8 0r 10 (always have been ) with small norks so its not weight thats an cause for me.

Have found the coconut oil so will try that tonight.

cafenoir · 25/07/2013 18:41

I'm 53 and have big norks. I massage coconut oil in after my shower and it seems to help minimise their appearance.

Megsdaughter · 25/07/2013 18:50

I was a size 24 with humungus boobs and had them, now a size 14 and they have all but disappeared.

I am 55, and to have never used any mosituriser, and dont really have many lines on my face, but them neither did my Mother.

Think maybe its a genetic thing, combined with weight.
