Hair product for texture

I've just had my hair cut quite short, but it is naturally fine and flat and/or fluffy on its own.

I'm looking for a product between a serum (to avoid fluffiness) and a wax (for choppy texture, volume and sexy messiness).

Does such a thing exist?

I'm currently using one called Urban Fudge Texture Junk which was a couple of quid in Superdrug and is in a funky little tin.

There's loads by Garnier in little round tubs and L'oreal which are also good. I also recently got a sea salt spray which is great for texture.

I'm using l'oreal studio matt and messy at the moment, although it might be too much for you but I like my hair to be, umm messy.

I have longer hair but have been using a Tresemme texturising spray which I quite like

Oooh, thanks everyone! Some top tips. Will replace ten year old tub of husband's hair wax.

VO5 do loads. I like the choppy texture cream and matt clay gum

I use hair dust - it's a fine powder - l'oreal do one called superdust (i've seen similar by tresemme and osis). You sprinkle in the roots for volume and in the ends for texture. I have a short layered bob and it adds textuee and reduces the fluffiness. In my hair, it feels like a matt texturising spray, but I don't get the greasiness of having a spray in my hair.

Hair dust sounds so...futuristic. How can it do all those things? Shock I am quite in awe.

I have fluffy, fine hair which everyone is astonished at when I tell them because I manage to make it look shiny and fairly thick.

My morning hair routine sounds like a lot, but it really doesnt take long. It is, however, a bit expensive for these products. So here goes -

I wash my hair and use Paul mitchell super sculpt (quite a big blob) mixed with a little serum (I've used different brands and they are all pretty much the same). I run this mixture through my hair and blowdry (with the hairdryer always facing downwards). This leaves my hair shiny and frizz free but still a little soft and flat. Then I use V05 'give me texture' and spray this into the ends of my hair whilst scrunching it. This gives it some volume. I then spray it with loads of hairspray (don't scrunch or it will look wet/greasy) to hold it in place.

I've tried the hair dust before but don't like the texture it gives my hair - mind you I am not very adept at using it!
