Bra interventions: what about when pregnant / BFing?

I do normally wear correctly fitting bras: went to bravissimo and since then have been wearing small back big cup as the bra interventions seem to usually suggest.

However I'm rubbish when pg or BFing and have been doing both for 3.5y non stop now...

I'm currently 35 weeks pg and would really like to buy 1 nursing bra to roughly fit after baby arrives and then be able to get a much better fit at home a few weeks after.

Any tips?

Do I measure exactly the same for a nursing bra as normal one eg bending over?

And should the middle bit sit against my chest? None of the non underwired ones I've been wearing do, and the shape is dreadful :(

you measure the same way. But if you go for a non-wired one then the middle part won't sit flat, no. There are underwired ones available as well though, I really like the Anita one.

If you are looking for a rough fit - and I agree it's a good idea, as you never know what your boobs will actually do after the milk comes in - go for a stretchier one that will accommodate several sizes, like this one:

Thanks, that one looks fab.

When do you think I should measure? Only 35 weeks but DD was a little early... I suppose it won't matter too much as they have lots of hooks on nursing bras usually.

I'd probably go for one of the stretchier ones to tide you over until your milk is in and your size has settled down just a little. The measuring method is the same though. In most cases, you will probably go down in the back from where you are now post birth (no baby shoving your ribs out!) and up in the cup.
