Tell me what to do about my moustache, apart from twirl it

I can no longer avoid the realisation that I have a noticeable moustache. I have considered buying a cloak and taking up villainy but dp tells me finding virgins to tie to railway tracks just isn't as easy as it used to be. I have therefore decided that I'll just have to stick with my current career path and the facial hair will have to go.

But how? I am trapped in a quandary of fear and indecision about what method I should use. I don't really do style and beauty things usually, I don't even own any makeup for heavens sake.

Please, for the love of cake, somebody save me from this furriness!

I've recently come to the same conclusion Sad.
I'm not a great one for lashings of make-up/waxing/high-spec personal grooming, but I have found Veet's Facial Ready-to-use wax strips really easy to use and not too uncomfortable.

Or you could just tell everyone that you are rehoming a lonely hamster.

Veet cream. Takes literally 3 minutes, once a week or so. Bob's your uncle.

Don't bleach it - it has the effect of making the hairs seem bushier and is bloody rubbish as a tache disguise.

HearMyRoar · 21/07/2013 21:30

I was thinking that about the bleach hassled. Most of it is quite light anyway with just a smattering of darker hairs so I can't see that making it white would do anything other then make me look a bit elderly.

My only other fear is stubble. This is the main reason I have left it. I suppose waxing wouldn't be too bad that way though I am a wuss so might cry a bit Blush

How does hair grow back after removal cream? I've never used it before.

Veet wax strips. This might not be great advice... but I have a low pain threshold and the way I get myself through this is to do it on a night when I've had a couple of glasses of wine. The trick is to be VERY decisive and make sure you get everything in one area the first time, it only gets painful if you hesitate when whipping it off and the wax gets stuck on bits of your skin so you have to go over the same area twice.

Boots hair removing cream is the business. I only need to do it about once every three or four months. No noticeable regrowth-one day it's just back!

Veet Hair Removal Cream (the one especially for lip/face) works for me - takes no time at all. Prefer it to waxing or threading which can both give me spots afterwards.

HearMyRoar · 21/07/2013 22:07

I think I'm too scared for waxing and annoyingly T-total so no help there. Sound like hair removal cream is the way forward.

Thanks all :o
