I am a size 8-10. First of all, many will automatically say what is your problem, there can't be any real issue, get over yourself. I understand this, but at 8st8 and with a healthy BMI etc I am at my wits end. My children are 3 and 5, and they were both 11lb born naturally. My tummy has never recovered, and after nearly 4 years of hard work, healthy eating, exercising etc I still hv a wrinkled, squashed, divided and revolting tummy. Ive done Mutu, Yoga, running, pilates, you name it, but it is just 'there'. Im worried however that with a TT I could lose the loose skin but suffer major scarring and other side effects and would love your feedback and information. Thanks

i am the same!! i am thin, size 8, 5 foot 2 and about 8 stone. and people always say i have a great figure

but after 2 babies born by CS my tummy is a right state, wrinkled, stretchmarked, with the dreaded "shelf" even though am slim

i saw a lady about my age (33) in front of me in a shop earlier, and she had a CROP TOP on. a CROP TOP. to show off her gorgeous flat un-ruined tummy Envy . it honestly made me feel sick with envy and a bit upset. :(

just how??? how the F do some people give birth to kids and not have their tummies ruined

mine was perfect pre dc

I honestly think that you should do it if it is seriously affecting your happiness .
Sometimes it's useful to speak to someone ( therapeutically ) to discuss your reasons for surgery in their entirety. I'm not suggesting you are crazed but sometimes chatting to someone helps get all your reasons straight and explored before undertaking major surgery.
You will have a scar or scarring depending on the surgery needed. I guess it depends on how bad the skin is now compared with average surgical results ( don't be over optimistic )
Over stretched skin never improves. I hate it when people tell others about a magic cream or exercise. If it has stretched beyond the pale you are stuck with it without surgery.

I have two friends who have had the surgery and had brilliant results. They are over the moon and wish they had had it done yrs earlier.

Same, same, same! I'm back to my pre baby weight and love my body...when it's got clothes on it! The tummy is ok until I bend over. Only got a handful of tiny stretch marks that are now hard to spot, but I've been genuinely surprised by the state of the tum. Don't think it was noticeable until I dropped the last pounds. Tempted to put weight back on!

Sadly really makes me scared to have more children. Mine was an enormous baby, too.

Wow thank you all for considerate and interesting responses. I am going to have an initial consultation purely to talk it through with someone who sees tummies in need every day, and go from there. I know I should be grateful that I am a fit and healthy person but it gets me down, all day, every day. I worry that im spending money if I have it done that could have given the girls a holiday or their first cars lol etc and feel selfish, but if it worked, and enables me to look at myself in the mirror with nothing on and be vaguely happy, then that would be amazing. Thank you all again.
