I do, as long is its a bluish dusty pink and not a brownish one

pixiegumboot · 17/07/2013 16:36

thanks....how do I tell, I really do have a problem with colours!

wear what you want too
ffs having your colours done is aimed at the fashion idiocy or over 70's

QueenCadbury · 17/07/2013 17:12

No

charitygirl · 17/07/2013 17:54

I think the word 'dusky' is key - winter colours are cool and bright. Duskiness is muted. One for the summers I think.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/07/2013 17:55

I'm pretty sure I'm a winter and dusty pink is not bad on me, actually. But I do need blusher!

orangeandemons · 17/07/2013 18:53

I realised what colours I looked best in at about 24. I have avoided ones I look crap in ever since then, despite not being over 70 Hmm

BeattieBow · 17/07/2013 18:54

I think its meant to be an ice-y pink rather than a dusky one. Difficult to find though, and I think I look ok with a pale pink. (wouldn't wear a peachy one though).

pixiegumboot · 17/07/2013 19:00

I am the fashion idiocy actually which is why I asked.

thanks all just saved myself some money Smile

This one pretty good on me.

This one pretty bad.

Kettlewell are pretty good for getting an idea of colour ranges for the different seasons - take a look here: www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/season/winter

MadAboutHotChoc · 18/07/2013 10:11

No. I am a winter and I would love to wear dusky pink but look shit in it.

Ice pink, shocking pink and fuschia are the pinks I am allowed to wear (but in varying amounts though).

FaddyPeony · 18/07/2013 17:47

Not the best colour on me and I'm a Winter.

That said. I do think that if you really love something in any colour you should get it and find a way to make it work. You could wear lipstick, nail polish or carry a bag that's your 'spot-on' colour and that would help carry it off. I recently bought a lovely dress in sort of beigey pink colours - totally not me, but I'm planning to make it work with some careful cool red accessorising.

Think of the Hollywood A-listers, I mean - very few of them stick to the same colour palettes all the time. Sometimes the colour that should be all wrong can be made to look very Fashion with the right styling.

There isn't a dusky pink in my wallet (winter). All the pinks are quite vivid. Raspberry and screaming fuschia.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/07/2013 17:59

What kind of winters are people? I'd say my colouring is somewhere between her and him maybe!

Wuldric · 18/07/2013 18:02

I had always worn yellows and black and more black and olive green. The only colour I had got right was the black.

My skin tone is dark olive. It was a shock to me that I should be wearing pink or blue. Doing the whole colours thing was revelatory for me. You can't disbelieve the evidence of your own eyes.

I'm definitely the crisp clear colours; black (yah!) white blue red. hot pink. so no, dusky pink all wrong on reflection

OP posts:
FaddyPeony · 18/07/2013 22:11

I think I'm closest to the Clear Winter colouring. All self-diagnosed though!

BeattieBow · 19/07/2013 06:39

I'm a sultry winter. with olive skin and dark brown eyes and hair. Maybe similar to Victoria Beckham or er Kim Kardashian (!). (In colouring only I should add).

I had a HoC consultation and the ice blue/pink/lilac/green colours are starred for me. I also have pink, purple and royal type blues as well as navy, black, white and grey.

i don't have the high skin/eye/hair contrast of jewel winters.

Wuldric · 19/07/2013 15:53

Just done a little light shopping and purchased a raspberry cardigan

I have never bought or worn such a shade but apparently it is all me.

By the way, what was the post that was deleted? Did someone take exception to screaming fuschia? Were they rude about ice blue?
