Been done a lot but GHDs versus other straighteners and which ones?

I have unruly, thick, frizz prone hair. My existing straighteners are okay but don't exactly leave my hair shiny and smooth so I don't use them much.

They're Wet and Dry ones by Remington but I just use them occasionally on dry hair (these: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002C1AYCO)

A hairdresser used GHD's new pricey ones on my hair and it looked amazing but not sure if it was the straighteners or the blow dry done before that.

Are they really so much better than my existing straighteners?

GHDs are brilliant a pair lasts about 10 years so its pricey but an investment. I just wouldn't use anything else now.

A lot of posts on threads about them say they last ages but as my existing ones work fine, I suppose what I really need to know is, do they make your hair look better?

Yes about a million times better. They make my coarse, thick wiry hair lovely, soft and swishy Smile

Years ago they were light year ahead of the rest, these days there's nowt between them really.

I've got GHDs and a Babyliss pair and my hair is actually sleeker and shinier after using the Babyliss.

Sorry if that's not much help Grin

I see you're using the Remington Wet and Dry at the minute - to be honest you'll find any of them are better than those!

Sofa, can you link to your Babyliss ones please?

Noisytoys that does sound very appealing!
