Wavy hair advice for novice please!

My hair has always had a small wave to it but I have spent years beating it into submission with straighteners. Since having children though my hair has become almost curly and I love it enough to have abandoned my straighteners completely. I'm a beginner though in terms of curly hair care and I would love some advice please. I brush my hair before washing it, then leave it to dry naturally without brushing it again. I've started using argan oil which has made it soft and shiny but during the day the curl does drop unless it's raining when it goes into ringlets! I was thinking of trying a sea salt spray to try to keep the waves better: is this a good idea and can anyone recommend a good one which isn't too costly? Any other recommended products or general tips?

What you are doing with your hair sounds exactly like what I do with mine. I have recently started using this salt spray after using a more expensive brand for years and it's just as good. I spray it on towel dried hair then run my fingers through and that's it! As it was buy one het one half price in boots I also got the curl cream too which is again similar to another product I've been using. I use it whenever I need to blow dry my hair and just scrunch it through when it's dry. I also use it on days where I've used the spray and left to dry but am then going out in the evening or want to revive the waviness later on in the day for any reason. Really recommend them both.

I've never heard of using salt spray! I have naturally wavy hair, but I can have curly hair if I encourage it. I wash it, towel dry and then twirl sections of it around my fingers whilst I'm on the bus to work. Through trial and error I discovered that my hair likes to curl anti-clockwise rather than clockwise. I leave it to dry like that. Then I can leave it and have ringlets, or shake it out a bit and have looser curls. It stays fairly well for the day, but mousse or hair spray would help with that too.

Must keep my eye out for some salt spray now!
