Tear trough treatment - what can I expect?

I've booked an appointment to see a plastic surgeon doctor about my legends of sleepy hollows under my eyes.

Have you had this done? What filler? I've heard about restylane and maybe juvederm leaving a blue tinge under the skin? Now I don't know what to do

Advice please!

I had it last year. They used Restylane. Really happy with it, no blue tinge (none that I've noticed, anyway). How did you get the name of the Dr you're going to? Is it someone who's been recommended?

No idea, but make sure your surgeon has had specialist training in ocular fillers. My dermatologist says that chucking it in there is not like sticking it elsewhere in the face. Prepare for some bruising! She had it done and told people she'd fallen off her horse and been kicked! Good luck.

I had minimal bruising, easily covered by make-up. I definitely agree though about going to someone with a lot of experience and a good reputation.

I can recommend Raman Mallhotra, he's an eye surgeon who specialises in filler and other cosmetic bits. He's a really nice chap too.

You shouldn't need to decide what to have ( product)- that's what you pay them for- their expertise.

Hmmm I went to a clinic a year or so ago and they told me there was nothing that could be done. Can anyone send me some info of theirs? I have terrible tear troughs under my eyes that make me look old and tired Sad

Ooh, this is exciting Cyb Smile

I had mine done this time last year and they still look fab. I had some bruising and slight puffiness for 3-4 days but covered it with makeup. If they use a canula, the bruising is less. Didn't hurt and I would have it again.

Cyb · 01/07/2013 23:28

Thanks all....what did it cost you ?

I had mine done with a cannula too MissB.

They cost between £450 - £600 for someone reputable to do them. The variation in price is to do with how much filler is used (1 or 2 ampules) as well as price variations between places. I had mine done at Tracey Mountford's clininc, but it was a nurse who did them on recommendation of someone on here. She was great and has lots of experience, as well as being trained by TM who has a really good reputation for doing a good job, and also not overdoing things.

Can anyone recommend someone in Yorkshire for this please?
