Should you always have your shoulders covered for an interview?

Why would you consider not having them covered? Are you not in the UK. The weather isn't exactly at sleeveless temperatures at the moment.

Yes. And for work in general. And feet as well, in my opinion. We are fairly casual where I work, but everybody does at least do that.

Considering getting a dress for simplicity (see here...apologies for starting two threads thread )

A couple of which are sleeveless...cardigan/jacket on the horizon, then

Oh and I like dress 3 on your other thread, not a big fan of the others.

I interviewed someone on Monday wearing a sleeveless smart dress. She looked great and pulled it off brilliantly. She was however very slim, polished and toned. Other body shapes might not present so well.

I wore a sleeveless top today. Very smart top intended for the workplace but had a cardigan over it for my only meeting...cardy off once I was in the office

Can't you go for something with a bit more colour? Like a dark burgundy/purple/green/blue?

And for an interview I'd always wear a smart cardigan / shrug over a sleeveless dress.
