Stretch marks please help me

My ds is 2.3 now. I did not find out I was pregnant until 21 weeks. ( this was after pg tests and on the pill so not just being too dim) I was not showing at all and still in my size 10 jeans.

From the day I found out I ballooned, and by 25 weeks, my bump would not fit in size 18 baggy tops. I was previously a size 6 to 8 top. By 37 weeks my bump would not fit into size 26 tops. Because of this I got horrendous stretch marks. They hurt so much. It looked like someone had clawed my stomach. They split and bled daily and some were 2 inches or more across.

I have slowly lost my baby weight and am now back in my jeans, but. Although they have faded, the marks are still awful. They are still just as wide and the skin is so so thin in those areas. My whole stomach is scarred. I don't know how to improve them at all.

I know it sounds vain, but my boobs have been ruined through bf, to the point where I have to buy children's bras. My stomach muscles were irreparably ripped and suffered a prolapse. I just want one aspect of my body back a little bit. Does any one have any experience or advice? Would be very appreciated. Tia x

Hi absent I don't know if you ever get rid of stretch marks, but they can be improved I think. I had one session of skin needling or sometimes called medical needling, you usually need between 3-6 sessions. My stretch marks are very old (12 years or so) I have seen an improvement after just one session, I will need another 2 maybe 3 to see proper results. My stretch marks are thinner and less visible, they somehow blend more with my skin tone, like I said I will still need a few more, because I have seen visible difference after just one session, I will have more treatments this year.

I had two areas on my body, my arms being one of them, the stretch marks on my arms are very hard to see now, from far you can't tell that I have any, it's only when you look really close up that you can see them a tiny bit.

Oh that sounds good! Medical needling? I've never heard of it. Will go and do some research now :-) at the point where I will try anything! Is it really expensive?

could you go and speak to your dr and tellthem how you feel. I think they sometimes can operate to repair stomach muscles if that's what you wanted. Also lasers (like used in tattoo removal I think) can be used to improve the appearance of stretch marks.

I also have stretch marks over my hips, Boob's and tummy. for the first 18 months they were very angry but they are fading to silver now and less noticeable. I guess the options depend on how much they bother you

Watching this- My stretch marks are really awful. When I went in to the labour ward with DC1, the midwife pulled back my top to feel the bump, and she froze. "Wow! I've never seen stretch marks like those before!" They go right over my belly button. :(

absent It was £50 for half an hour, but I paid for two hours because I had two large areas, and it is time consuming because the therapist is doing one stretch mark at a time.

It is the same method.

Thanks all. And thankyou for the link.

Have been to my doctor about the stomach muscles, he said they have not only torn vertically but horizontally aswell. Went for scans etc and it will take two ops and a skin graft to cover the scars that it will leave across the bottom of my ribs and also all along my trouser line. It sounds like a lot to go through so for the time being I'm happy staying with the flabby tummy. Lol

The midwife was the same when I was in labour. Had to put pressure bandages on some of the ones on my stomach and a couple down below as they kept splitting when I was pushing. :-( not fun!

Sounds hopeful though. Think I will research a little more and look at the skin needling. Sounds quite a reasonable price too. Thought it would be so much more!
