Please talk to me about these. Are they soft? Smooth (200 but think current stuff is 400). Most importantly can you get away without ironing them? Are they beautiful?!!!!

I have search John Lewis, autograph, and even debenhams...any other suggestions?

Also, if I buy a mattress with memory foam topper is it very warm?

I need to sort this out, and need help!

DH had several duvet covers when we met, 2 are still going strong. Amazing quality and lovely and soft.

Utterly love them.

You can buy them online direct from Designers Guild.

Should of said I met DH in 2000.

Is the 200/400 - thread count or £££'s?

niceupthedance · 15/06/2013 18:50

Mine are lovely and soft. Do need ironing (if I can be bothered).

fuckitybollocks · 15/06/2013 19:24

Thread count, although will be a lot of pennies either way I think! Better not be £400 though!

So tempted. Looking at bedsteads too, will choose mattress separately. Feather and Black have a sale, as does Laura Ashley. This is dangerous!

yy to tk maxx being worth a look

DD has one, and it is lovely - about 5 years old and still looks like new. We don't wash often (so don't have the ironing issue) as she uses a fitted bottom sheet and a matching top sheet (which are washed often).

I've seen them in TK Maxx too. Homesense is also TK Maxx but all homewares.
