yes very good,it's like emulsion got to rub in well

ElizaCBennett · 07/06/2013 22:20

I have used it for years. Am very fair skinned, it is brilliant! Smile

Or try Ultrasun - very similar, and also very good.

eyestightshut · 07/06/2013 22:41

I have used Soltan once a day (comes in a range of factors and 5 star uva protection) for both myself and DC and it has been great - never burned.
I can also recommend Calypso once a day. Comes in different factors and we used it on the whole family at half term with no burning.

drinkyourmilk · 07/06/2013 22:43

I use P20 in factor 30. I have used factor 50 too. Never burnt whilst using it. Without sunscreen I burn and blister. I just like the fact it doesn't need reapplying.

Rulesgirl · 07/06/2013 22:51

I don't use sunscreen as I believe it to be full of chemicals and it has been linked for many years to lack of vit d (as it blocks it) and all those chemicals seeping into the system and can actually cause a lot of problems. But that's just me.

Hulababy · 07/06/2013 22:52

I use P20. I don't tan and just burn easily. I don't burn with P20. I have used it in hot humid Augusts in Florida with no problems.

DD is less keen on it as it is oily. You put it on and then need to let it dry for 5-10 minutes before getting dressed. It also has a fairly strong smell when applying. DD prefers Ultrasun, which is also once a day but cream based. She can't use Soltan and many other once a days as they bring her out in a rash.

Yes.
Parasol is good too

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/06/2013 22:53

I used this a few years back in Egypt (IIRC it got up to 40C and it's a dry heat)
I have Celtic skin and dark hair/brown eyes so I do burn.

I was fine with this, you just have to make sure you apply it 30 minutes before sun exposure to let it 'bond' then it's fine.

I found it stained white clothes but it washed out.

Now you can get up to a SPF 50. I need a high factor Once-A-Day for the DC .It'll be this or Ultrasun.

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 07/06/2013 22:54

Parasol the sunscreen that is, not 'A' parasol umbrella that is.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 07/06/2013 23:06

I prefer the Piz Buin once a day cream. It comes in F30 which I prefer.

freerangeeggs · 08/06/2013 00:15

It's great. Almost too good - two weeks into my holiday I was paler than when I left!!

tigerdriverII · 08/06/2013 00:18

There is a really good Nivea once a day one, I used last August in Greece, it worked brilliantly and I think is similar to P20, but cheaper. Ie always on a 3 for 2 or similar from boots. It's like varnish, but really does last all day.

janmoomoo · 10/06/2013 18:19

It is excellent. It is an oil, it goes on nicely, doesn't smell, you need to be quite generous with it. You also do need to let it dry for a bit after application. But they have changed the formulation so it doesnt stain clothes any more. I am using the spf30 one now but DH uses the 20 and never burns with it.

busymummy3 · 10/06/2013 22:52

I have looked at P20 since it first came out and last year noticed Soltan product I normally use for all my family have their own version.
The only thing that puts me off -especially when applying to kids - is what if you miss somewhere and don't realise. Always end up opting for traditional apply regularly sunscreen on the notion that if you do miss a bit you will get there next time you come to apply.

mycatlikestwiglets · 11/06/2013 09:52

I've just come back from a week in the sun and used P20 (factor 20) for the first time. It's brilliant - I'm of the "tan but slowly" variety of pale skin and I applied after my shower each morning so it had time to sink in before heading to the beach. I didn't need to reapply at all, didn't have even a hint of burning, and have a lovely tan. I'm totally converted now!
