Which is the best dye to get this hair colour?

I'm turning thirty next week and I've decided I'd like to change my hair colour to distract myself celebrate.

I usually have it reddish brown but I'd like to make the most of being on maternity leave and have something a bit more vibrant. I love this colour but I'm not sure the best brand and shade to achieve it. Any ideas? I'd like it to be permanent and cover lots of some grey.

Thank you.

Olia dyes are good, very vibrant and long lasting. Though to get that specific colour you might have to go to a salon.

There's a couple of Schwarzkopf colours similar to that, but it will depend on your base colour exactly how it ends up. Some of the Ferias are good for vibrant shades too.

You might also find that the greys go a bit pink, however.

Pink greys! Sad

I usually go to the salon, but maternity pay prevents it for now!

The bright red live colours are similar to this.

Casting do Cherry Red (brighter) or Black Cherry (darker) which may give similar results - depending on your natural hair colour.

Sorry, just realised you want permanent colour.

I think you'd struggle to keep a permanent colour that vibrant. Semi-permanent colours have great conditioners and can be used often.

Don't go with Live Color XXL - their reds fade quickly and they contain silicone.

HiColor Highlights are great (£20 for two tubes plus developer) Google image search or Youtube to see results.

What's your natural colour? If it's not too dark (and not too light), you might get a similar result from La Riche Directions, maybe Poppy Red or Pillarbox red, perhaps Dark Tulip if your hair is light brown.

Here's a gallery of how the colours turn out - look for those on faded box dyed hair or unbleached hair for an idea. Go back to search by brand and click on different shades to see different examples.

BTW, I use La Riche between permanent colours. It really conditions your hair and does cover greys.

Thank you. I'll try a semi-permanent and see how it goes. Those eBay ones look great. Wish me luck!
