Would I regret getting a fringe? (hair type)

I really want to get a full, blunt fringe. I've never had a fringe (well, not since I was about 7). The rest of my hairstyle I would keep the same (mid length/long, one length.)

The problem is my hair type. It's very fine, and especially wispy and prone to breaking around my hairline. It's also naturally wavy/curly (I straighten it) & if I get caught in the rain it turns into a frizzy mess.

Does anybody with this kind of hair manage a fringe?

I know this thread is a few weeks old but just used search as want to cut in a fringe too - OP did you do it?
Also Jackie how did you find the right hair colour for your head mirkin? I want to try one but my hair colour is difficult to match.
