I am a bit stuck and am looking for any ideas for a good moisturiser for very dry skin. I am not using anything specific at the moment. My skin is a total PITA. Thanks for any help with this :)

Clinique Youth Surge but make sure you get the one for 'very dry skin'.

Made a massive difference to my skin.

I find it's not so much the moisturisers that make the difference but the cleansers - I can only use very gentle cleansers, or I get red, irritable and dry but can get away with pretty well any moisturiser. Cleansing wise I am alternating between Boots No 7 Hot Cloth cleanser and Lush Angels on Bare Skin scrub in the shower in the morning and Lush Ultrabland removed with Lush Eau Roma for night time. Skin is very happy with this routine.

Weleda Skin Food. It's a tad oily so use it overnight but it smells so fresh, is decently priced and was formulated especially for very very dry skin. I wake up after using a tiny amount all over my face with baby soft skin and I have very dry skin.

I rate oilatum facial moisturiser, not at all greasy but very hydrating.

LRP Cicaplast gave me an extreme allergic reaction which lasted 4 days so I would urge a patch test with that.

The best thing I've found for my very dry skin is Eucerin Q10 for dry skin. It leaves my skin amazingly soft and it feels really nice. I love it.

I was just about to recommend Eucerin Q10 but Mendi beat me to it!

My skin was dry and sensitive but this is great, bigger boots often do samples.
