Hello there. I can't remember "Stella" very clearly but I seem to recall it being modern-ish, rose, and not too in-your-face.
I'm wondering if what you like about it is the rose or the modern-ness or the not-too-over-the-top-but-still-could-wear-on-a-night-out-ness of it.
Do you know? Because that makes a difference with other recommendations.
I had a quick google and a lot of people who like the rose in "Stella" seemed to like Juliette Has a Gun's "Lady Charming". If you are in London, or Birmingham, I guess, it is available in Selfridges. So you could try it there.
There was also a review on one website (Fragrantica) of "Lady Charming" that listed a whole load of other rose perfumes:
"Much richer and fruitier than Paul Smith Rose. Much more berries than Rose 4 Reines. This is by no means a soliflore. No nasty patchouli like Lady Vengeance. No heavy musk like Stella. Denser than Chloe Intense with the fruit mélange. Less smooth but much more tartly flirtatious and fun than Fille de Berlin. Not quite as powerful in pure roses as the Montale Highness Rose, but then nothing else is either. Much more rosy clean and fresh than the Bvlgari Rose Essentielle. Far more beautiful on my skin than Rose The One. "
There are loads in there to try.
I'd also suggest going to Space NK and asking about rose-based perfumes in there. Diptyque has one that is really nice. I forget the name, but the SpaceNK people will know.
Just to see if you like something else about "Stella": Have a try of "TuberoseGardenia" by Estee Lauder - a beautiful, feminine, grown up floral.
"Violet Blonde" by Tom Ford, which is a sensual violet.
"In Peace" by Space NK, which is a lovely, feminine Iris.
Have you tried the Paul Smith Rose perfume? And "Daisy" by Marc Jacobs? They are both a bit "old" now but have been extremely popular and are both nice.
