can anyone recommend a good moisturiser for spotty skin?

My pot of day cream has ran out and I doubt it was helping my spotty yet dry acne scarred sometimes sensitive skin (yip its that odd)
So can anyone suggest a good moisturiser that isn't going to make my spotty forehead greasy and more spotty? Thanks in advance.

I thought that re oil too, but its just a couple of drops mixed in to an ordinary moisturiser. Im also very pale!

Lauren that sounds like a good way to apply it I never thought of adding oil to my moisturizer great tip thanks there have been some amazing tips on this thread.

Triacneal has been applied! It feels comfortable and absorbed very quickly I used it sparingly.cant wait to see how it goes.

I've applied it a couple of times, no terrible reaction so far :)

Your skin sounds like mine TBH. I have given up even trying anything other than Critique dramatically different gel, everything else hurts or feels like I've smeared chip fat over my face within an hour. CDDG is worth the money IMVHO.

If you're going to have a reaction to Triacneal, it usually occurs after a few days to a week of using it. So don't make the mistake of thinking, I've used it once or twice, I'm fine, so it's probably safe to use every day now.

That's what I did and my skin didn't thank me much. It's best to err on the side of caution I think

I've been using it for four weeks now. Skin is clear as crystal, aside from a few residual marks that are fading noticeably. I'm really pleased. I think it's a fantastically effective product.

I'm so impressed with the French pharmacy skin care brands - they're not hideously expensive and they make products that actually work. The skin recovery cream also by Avene is wonderfully soothing, non comedogenic, and I found this the best thing for calming my irritated skin when I inadvertently went a bit overboard with the Triacneal.

I didn't need to use my green corrector this morning I wonder if that's thanks to triacneal either way happy so far.

I really love the Norwegian formulation one. It can be a little greasy but doesn't seem to clog my pores.

It's really good.

Another vote for Cetaphil.

My face feels smooth as a babies bottom it has never felt this lovely I hope its thanks to triacneal raw honey and cetaphil which I went with in the end after seeing its great reviews. The advice on this thread has been worth its weight in gold I would love to hear more of peoples 'un spotty' stories.
Fuckit still no redness yet from triacneal but my spots are getting flakey.

Sure a bit of flakeyness can be a minor side effect of the Triacneal and will dissipate as soon as your skin becomes more used to it.

If it gets worse to the point where it bothers you then you can scale back the Triacneal and very gradually build it up again, or if it is not that bad you can just use a muslin cloth to remove your cleanser and gently buff away any minor flakes with that.

Certainly stick with the cetaphil - moisturiser is a really important part of the support system when using active ingredients like retinoids. It helps combat dryness (obvs) and so helps mitigate and control the worst of the side effects.

Most importantly, stick with it. Dr Sam Bunting reckons you need to give it at least six weeks, and probably more like twelve, before you start seeing real noticeable results from retinoid use. However, my personal experience (and a lot of other anecdotal evidence seems to second it) is that you actually begin to see small, but still noticeable results before that. Sounds like perhaps you already are!

I had adult acne, it was awful.

I got a prescription for Duac and switched to La Rose Posay for make up remover, moisturiser and cleansing lotion. Within 4 weeks my skin was 90% clearer.

Hey, I have similar problems use the tea tree stuff from body shop for your spots and look around boots and body shop for your favourite moisteriser, I tend to find my choises are better than recommendations because you know your skin best, try a few online quizzes about it too. Do what ever takes your fancy. Hope this helps. :)
