I prefer no fragrance, no SPF (I use a separate one) and definitely no hylauronic acid (turns out my skin doesn't tolerate it).

I have combination skin with a t-zone that still shines even though I'm in my early 50s. So it's oily/normal combination, not dry.

It needs to absorb well so it doesn't make me look even greasier.

I voe steam cream, but it has lavendar in so does smell.

Iatemyskinnyperson · 30/04/2013 11:28

Bioderma - look online (got mine on eBay). It's a French pharmacy brand)

Really moisturising but light & absorbs easily

MrsBodger · 30/04/2013 11:30

Aveeno - I get v bad eczema and this is great for me.

momb · 30/04/2013 11:35

I use Liz Earle skin repair. very light and the little jar lasts ages.

higgle · 30/04/2013 11:57

Simple products are inexpensive and work well. I have a stock for when my clinique stuff runs out and I'm broke. TBH don't really notice the difference.

Trilogy Vital Moisturising cream

Avene (NOT the same as aveeno). I use a dry skin one but I'm sure the combo/oily one would be just as good. Again it's a french pharmacy brand, so no fragrance, non-cloggy and highly effective.

ariane5 · 30/04/2013 13:14

I use simple rich moisturiser it is lovely but I think it does have spf. They do other ones though so worth a look.

I have used Avene too and it is lovely but very expensive so haven't had any for a while.

another vote for Steam Cream. It is my fall-back cream, my old faithful, always have a tin on the go and another waiting. Can be used on face, hands and body.

auldspinster · 30/04/2013 17:41

Cetaphil is super gentle, about £8 for a huge bottle in boots, beside the e45 and dry skin remedies rather than the main skincare bit.

vitaminC · 30/04/2013 17:43

I've been using Inositol from Yves Rocher for the past few months and it's making my skin look great! Smile

halfthesize · 30/04/2013 17:47

They do a fab range, def worth a look.

madmomma · 30/04/2013 19:31

eucerin

Mintyy · 30/04/2013 19:33

Body Shop Aloe Vera moisturiser for sensitive skin. Best moisturiser ever.

OrbisNonSufficit · 30/04/2013 19:35

Trilogy rosehip oil. It sinks straight in, doesn't leave you oily. And it helps control your skin's oil production because it's balancing. Added bonus, it's slowly erasing my crow's feet.

EleanorFarjeon · 30/04/2013 19:35

I was in US recently and bought some Eucerin moisturiser.

I bloody love it.

I think you can get it here?

thepurplepenguin · 30/04/2013 19:37

Trilogy rosehip oil gives me spots Sad

madmomma · 30/04/2013 19:40

Yes Eleanor it's certainly for sale in boots. I also love the stuff. Not glam but very effective.

coffeeinbed · 30/04/2013 19:54

Boots Botanics Sensitive skin - the night one.
perfect stuff.
and cheap.

EleanorFarjeon · 30/04/2013 19:58

Boots, madmomma?

Hallelujah!

rootypig · 30/04/2013 20:02

Eucerin, for sure, brilliant stuff. Some have hylauronic acid though, so check.

Fanjounchained · 30/04/2013 20:16

Neutrogena, about 4 quid in Boots. I use the one in the orange tube. Unscented, good oil control and recommended by dermatologists.

coffeewineandchocolate · 30/04/2013 20:20

another aldi lacura user :-)

FrugalFashionista · 30/04/2013 22:00

Eucerin is my favorite moisturizer ever
