I haven't seen anyone in them looking good. They look like overgrown school boys shorts. YUK!

they make my arse look as wide as a small country.
Am too short for shorts.

Gingerbear · 15/05/2006 15:34

Only Cod looks good in them.

ggglimpopo · 15/05/2006 15:50

I got a pair of the short spotty ones in Zara last week. Love 'em.

TinyGang · 15/05/2006 15:55

Short spotty shorts would not even register on my shopping radarGrin

Brown Owl

or lesbian PE teacher

No matter how well cut the shorts I'd always resemble either of the above in them. Total respect to any woman who looks good in them.

FrannyandZooey · 15/05/2006 16:01

I also look fab in mine :)

crunchie · 15/05/2006 16:33

To look good these shorts need to be on the knee or just below, they shouldn't be above the knee unless worn with tights for winter. I wear them for meetings, I have to look smart, instead of a dress or skirt. I get really hot in the summer in jeans/trs and sometimes sweaty in skirts, these shorts are a middle ground.

You don't need to be that tall or THAT skinny - I am a size 14 and 5'3", but my arse isn't that wide, it just goes back a long way!!! :o

I would NEVER wear skinny jeans, but these are fab.

cod · 15/05/2006 17:32

lol@ ginge

gegs73 · 15/05/2006 17:37

Think depends on the legs in them. I think I would look awful in them and for me should be avoided at all costs!

CountessDracula · 15/05/2006 17:38

They make you look like Angus Young

cod · 15/05/2006 17:41

dh said that to me when i got mine.

cod · 15/05/2006 17:41

but then recanted

blueteddy · 15/05/2006 17:41

My BIL laughed at mine! I don't care though, as I like them!

CountessDracula · 15/05/2006 17:42

Bozza · 16/05/2006 11:46

I wore mine yesterday - with ballet shoes, two layered vest tops and a shrug. It looked fine. It was only for doing the school run, playing with DD and her presents, going to soft play etc. But it was not too cold but v. wet and I would have got the bottom of my jeans soggy. That was why I wore them.

freshstart · 16/05/2006 11:49

I love them too

Am wearing some now, think they are perfect SAHM attire as quite smart but far more practical and comfy than a skirt - its nice to have a break from jeans.

Im wearing black ones today with black sweater and white ballet pumps.

cod · 16/05/2006 11:56

gopd too cold for that here

freshstart · 16/05/2006 11:59

I dont get it when you say its too cold for them

Its only a bare calf really, do you never wear skirts?

Bozza · 16/05/2006 12:02

agree with freshstart. My SIL was wearing jeans and boots (again) but I just get bored with the same old jeans/boots/top combo for 10 months out of the year. It wasn't that cold, just very wet. And they are just a pair of trousers - they will wash.

Kaloo20 · 16/05/2006 12:53

I work in the City and I can confirm they look absolutely horrendous on everyone.

When I see people in them I have this desperate urge to ask them if they looked in a mirror before they left for work that morning.... particularly from the side and behind.

bundle · 16/05/2006 12:54

hideous fashion felony
