Have I been parting my hair on the wrong side for years?

Ok i've just noticed that every woman on tv that has a side part has it swept to her left so people view it from the right, then I thought about my girl friends who have side parts and they part theirs to the left too and I couldn't imagine it looking good on the otherside. All the men i've seen that have parts go to the right. I've always parted my hair to the right have I been looking wrong for years?

ROFL!

it's like earrings - indicates your sexuality which side you part

left for girls is hetero
right is lesbian
central is bi

sorry, thought everyone knew that

zippitippitoes · 13/05/2006 18:10

I don't have a parting!

mousiemousie · 13/05/2006 20:19

You are probably not getting much then Wink

JonesTheSteam · 13/05/2006 20:46

Surely your hair only parts naturally in one place. My parting is on the left, and if I try and part it any other way, it looks stupid.

mousiemousie · 13/05/2006 20:47

Are you trying to say you are 100% straight Jones or are you just lacking confidence Wink?

I think traditionally it was to correspond with button fastenings wasn't it?
(Men’s buttons being on the left side and women’s buttons on the right.)

(I think men’s buttons were placed on the right to allow them to draw their swords with one hand or something.)
