It has mixed reviews on the QVC website. I suppose at least if you buy it from them you can return it if you aren't happy - and end up with a face full of spots. ?

I want to know how rough it is? Does skin go red afterwards? What about broken capillaries could it make them worse?

I have the Boots No7 and its great - but I don't have problem skin. Use it with Dermalogica cleanser. Bit wary of celebs raving about products because they get them sent free; I get press releases all the time from companies whereby a celeb is mentioned.

For the clarisonic there are different brush heads you can get depending on skin type. I got the one for delicate skin and it is very soft. Definitely less harsh than even using a face cloth I would say.

I have no will power! I've spent days looking at eBay for a clarisonic and reading comparative reviews on the various competitors. Then I got concerned having read about counterfeit Chinese versions on eBay so... I just shelled out £125 on the clarisonic website for the mia2! I hope it works! (At least I managed not to buy the plus version hey!)

Received my Mia today! I went for the coral one from the clarisonic site for £99. It's currently charging but ill have a little whizz with it later on tonight and report back.

The charger is pretty cool as well. Snaps on magnetically

Ok, so I got the Mia, but how should I be using it with a balm cleanser? I've tried applying cleanser as normal then using Clarisonic and then rinsing off residue, but do I need to finish up with a muslin cloth too?

So far I'm loving the No7 brush. I am using it with the Melting Gel cleanser. Skin feels really clean. More spots broke out initially in the areas where I tend to get breakouts anyway (mainly chin), but skin is calming down now. Nose and cheeks feel and look much smoother. Might use it on my neck, shoulders and top of my back where I seem to have had a few spots recently too It's like being a flipping teenager again!

If you have milia, use pedimedic, or something that has a high urea content. My dd did and found that the milia went away. I hope it would work on anybody else

Dammit I must stop looking on here, my hormonal skin has gone bonkers this month so I ended upbuying the Rio Sonicleanse £48 Amazon. It's a sonic one rather than scrubby so hopefully it might help.

Sounds like it might break me out initially though?

Well I've tried the Sonicleanse today, not sure I'm using it right? Am I meant to scrub, hold it steady or move it around my face? It vibrates quite gently but will that get the dirt off? Am I meant to scrub as well as vibrate?

It seems like a wierd way to wash your face but I'll stick with it...

I got a Mia 2 in response to that same article, have been using it for two weeks.
I just use my regular cleanser in the shower, gentle circular motion (apparently it doesn't work as well if you scrub hard), rinse and moisturiser after.

I definitely think I look less pore-y, and have fewer blackheads, though no difference to the thread veins (pregnancy really was a gift that kept on giving!), BUT the clincher is that tonight as I was brushing my teeth, DH said 'your skin looks really nice and glow-ey, have you been using the brush thing?'
Visible difference confirmed!

I have been using my clarisonic mia2 since Thursday and definitely think (shock) that my pores don't look as deep. I can confirm my skin definitely looks more polished and smooth. I still have some blackheads and blemishes but hoping with time for perfect skin

I've used mind all week and although I have spotty areas (my hormones went crazy a couple of weeks ago) I think my skin looks smoother and yes, pores not as deep.

I have a couple of patches of whiteheads which i hoped would clear, and I'll have to wait for the hormonal part of my cycle to come round again to see how my skin copes.

Only thing I'm worried about is the amount of cleanser I'm going through: think I will have to find a cheaper one!!!

I got a Mia last November for about £89 from escentual.com (and quidco cashback). I use it everyday with no7 melting gel cleanser and it's brilliant. Pores much smaller and noticeable improvement in fine lines. I no longer get monthly hormonal breakouts on chin and neck, and along hairline. Swear by it.

Hello, I bought the Boots version because I had enough points and the Mia one is very expensive. I don't know that it's making much difference though. It's either because I was expecting a miracle, or it's just not as good as the Mia, or just that my skin needs more than this (sob!). Does anyone have experience of using both and can compare them? Thanks.

I love my clarisonic, I got the big one--but in hind sight should have just bought the mia as I only ever use it on my face. It's an amazing product; i use it with the dermalogica everyday exfoliant+foam cleanser i have in the bathroom. (just because i have to use them up).

Just a thought for anyone wanting to see what it's like without shelling out loads of money - I know decleor (and probably other places) do facials using it. I've had a few and they're fab (although I think a lot is just because decleor really helps my skin in general). Might be worth looking into a facial to see if you like before buying.

A cheap alternative is one of those hand held cleansing brushes - I bought mine from the Body Shop for £4- here www.thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/accessories/facial-brush-with-lid.aspx .
They're the same type of brush as the Clarisonic, but without the motor. OK, you don't get the very quick action, but you do get the exfoliating effect for a tiny fraction of the cost.

I second that Fozzleyplum I use the body shop one, and soap and glory do too - my skin is definately different - clearer, smoother and its a price I can manage.
