Hrpsi, all the brethren I know (big one of their chirches in a warehouse near Mum) have to have long hair.... therefore you can't have a radical crop AND be Brethren.

Maybe the proliferation of brethren at our school is why psychologically I crop my hair? hmmmmm

Sounds better than too damn lazy to do anything with it Wink

the key to such transitory accessories is low cost, so new look good Smile

Oo I've just got a headband to experiment with as I'm growing out an ill thought out fringe. The only way I can get it to work without it looking chavvy or giving me a slaphead (it just doesn't work with fringe poking out underneath) is to wear it ala Ian Astbury stylee circa 1988, you know, low on the forehead, totally covering hairline. Is this a bad look???? Am presently resorting to teenagesque hairslides and I'm 36.

Have lots of headbands, v.good. Have thick straight cut fringe, but soemtimes pin it back under the band. Looks FAB with fringe down, but my fringe is always in need of a trim bahh.

what happens to the long bit? It looks like something a nun would wear

foxinsocks · 11/05/2006 17:56

not sure about headbands

cod · 11/05/2006 18:22

it trails down
you kinda get used to it
the macrame accessorize one has no trailing bit

I made a nice one from an old pair of American Tanny tights because it's almost the same shade as my hair.

Finbar · 11/05/2006 19:05

I can vouch for Cod's hairband - it looked great at school today ...where she leads we follow!

ntt · 11/05/2006 19:09

I remember being envious of Amanda De Cadenet's (sp) think it was a quilted leather one from Chanel, but never found one. Twas before the days of the internet superhighway.

cod · 11/05/2006 21:27

OP posts:
MamaG · 11/05/2006 21:27

I htink so - a stretch one htat covers the front of your hairline, with curls bouncing about behind owuld look fab!

hoxtonchick · 11/05/2006 21:39

it's new look for me then :o

cod · 12/05/2006 11:05
