Best foundation for someone over 40?

Have used bare minerals but it just isn't suiting my skin now.

Looking for something new. I did the colour match at boots number 7 but not getting all day coverage.

I am interested in this too.

Also tried Bare Minerals, but don't think I 'get' it ...

I use Mac studio fix ....it's like a compact and you can touch up during the day. Not too heavy.easy....I'm lazy.

I've used chanel vitalumiere for about 10 years but might try something else now.

I've just bought Revlon Nearly Naked, so far I'm reasonably impressed. Doesn't sit it the dreaded lines and lasts well into the afternoon on my combination skin. It's not matte and not glowy, just looks like skin. I'm not sure it will cut the mustard in summer, staying power wise, but for now it's quite good.

Clinique super balanced is fab. I like Chanel
Vital universe but didn't need the moisture so much but today will be trying Perfection Lumiere. Chanel give you v generous trials (as do most places) its longer lasting do I have high hopes. I also bought the new Les Beiges powder yday, it's wonderful.

YSL Touche Eclat foundation is extremely flattering.

I wouldn't recommend a powder foundation like StudioFix on 40+ skin unless you have oily skin and very few lines.

I am a foundation whore and the best ever is Clarins Instant Smooth which does what it says on the tin! It's a cream-mousse and is incredible. Unfortunately they haven't marketed it well, and on another thread I was told they are pulling it. (I have sent my Mum to stockpile it for me, am not in UK)

I always have a couple of cheaper pots lying around as well and I'm impressed with both Maybelline The Eraser (but can't be faffed with weirdy spongey applicator thingy) and Maybelline Stay Matte mousse.

I'd steer well clear of anything oil free, which, if you're like me, just drags and sits on the skin. I've never got on with Clinique foundations for that reason.
