Can't decide what size to buy as I can be a 6 or 7.

TIA

Actually I don't know what to do now. I really like the orange ones on the site you linked.

I might wait till tomorrow and call them.

Get the smaller size - I am normally a 6 (39) but got the 5 (38). If you go to the shop in Covent Garden they will help with fit. The website has some info on fit also.

SecondhandRose · 09/05/2006 07:37

I am a 7.5 normally and I wear a size 39 in Birkenstocks. I've got really fat feet and normal Birkies are fine as they are adjustable.

controlfreaky · 09/05/2006 10:13

well? nbg am on tenterhooks... was it the orange? please tell me you've ordered some after all that!

Nbg · 09/05/2006 10:14

honestly. you try to help and all you get is gratuitous abuse. and to think i came on this thread originally to escape the guerilla warfare on "children blaspheming"

enjoy!

Enid · 09/05/2006 10:40

buy the right size you ninnies! they are supposed to be big that's what makes them comfy

Luggs · 09/05/2006 10:52

Bizzarely mine are big even though they are a size smaller . Saw some flowery birkos the other day and am tempted to buy even though I will never wear!

Skyler · 09/05/2006 10:54

Hope you like them. I lived in mine last year. I second Enid on the size though, your whole foot is supposed to sit right inside the sole and the ridges at the front and back IYSWIM. I am a 6 and a 1/2 usually but was fitted as a seven in the Birkie shop.

Gingerbear · 09/05/2006 10:54

NBG, which ones and where from. You have lost me with all your dithering.

Nbg · 09/05/2006 13:08

\link{http://www.birkenstock.co.uk/index.php?m=catalogue&a=vw_prod&wprid=121\I got these in the end} A real bargain I think. I just hope they arrive before we move. I ordered a 39/6 in the end. On the size guide it says 250mm so I measured my foot and it was just a bit smaller so they'll be fine I'm sure.

I can see these becoming a yearly obsession!

they're very...... orange.

Twinkie1 · 09/05/2006 13:11

I am normally a 39 and can get away with a 38 or 39.

I now have 16 pairs!!!!

controlfreaky · 09/05/2006 13:14

good god woman. control yourself! do you wear them in the winter with socks?? in bed??

Twinkie1 · 09/05/2006 13:15

No but as soon as there is a tiny bit of sunshine out they come - I evenhave birkenstock tan marks cause they are the only thing that I wear!!

Newest ones are silver and i lurve them!!!

Nbg · 09/05/2006 13:15

16

That is impressive!
I really like the mule ones and might get a pair of them too.

SecondhandRose · 09/05/2006 13:16

I thought I was mad with 3 pairs, silver, bronze and pale pink but perhaps I need more.

satine · 09/05/2006 13:19

Have taken an irrational dislike to Heidi Klum now as her birkenstocks only go up to 41 and are in narrow only. Just because she's a twiggy fool who only eats a couple of grapes a week, she won't let us more - ahem - feminine ladies wear her shoes. Well, pooey bums to her, as my ds would say.

Nbg · 09/05/2006 13:23

lol satine Grin

There was only 1 pair of hers that I liked, the silver but I wouldn't pay £140 for them.

I loved mine last year - have exactly the same pair as Nbg but in light blue. They start to feel like slippers after wearing them in.

Have tried wearing them again in the last few days but I find they are not as comfortable as they used to be, sob sob.

Enid · 09/05/2006 13:25

i have silver, pink and new red

dont get white though (nurses shoes)

Nbg · 09/05/2006 13:37

I like the white but they do remind me of nurses and beauticians.

I love the patent ones but I can imagine them being alot harder then the normal leather.
