What shampoo for my daughters hair?

My dd, 8, has long, medium thick hair. It's more or less straight but is quite unruly, and has never ever laid flat or 'neat'. It just looks unkempt. She wears it tied back for school. In the morning I usually spray it with water then add some serum to tame it down. To wash her hair We've nearly always used baby shampoo (not johnsons) or either a bit of my shampoo if we have ran out of the baby shampoo. I use conditioner on the lengths of her hair. At the moment she has some split ends, so she's due for a trim. I'm just wondering what shampoo/conditioner other mums use on their daughters hair? Also do you use a hairdryer to dry it? I use to but have stopped that recently & now just tie it in a plait & leave it to dry naturally.

I use vosene tea tree as I am paranoid about nits, don't think it's too big a deal what shampoo you use, more important is the conditioner. Although baby shampoo may be too mild for really good cleaning?

I would get her a conditioner for her hair type and blow dry as little as possible.

My kids hair always look messy so I tie it back, plait and use clips.

I'm back just seen what happens, my DD is nearly ten and her hair is always untidy, she doesn't brush it herself unless I nag her al ot. I use Tresemme conditioner and it's fab at getting out knots and leaving it shiny. I also use a hairdryer on it every now and then and it never looks in bad condition. If you tie or plait your DD hair it takes forever to dry, just leave it hanging down naturally.

I use aussie on dd aged 7 and then daniel galvin hair juice conditioner. Dd's hair is quite fine but lots of it. It has a slight wave to it.
The combination of aussie shampoo anf conditioner made her hair lank as the conditioner was too heavy.
I wash both dd's hair every other night rinse then comb through with a nitty gritty comb. Depending on how close to bedtime I will dry with hairdryer.
Both wear there hair up every day eldest in plaits or a ponytail as at school and hair below shoulders. Younger usually bunches as her hair is very curly.
