What is Armani's Maestro Fusion Foundation like?

Have used their luminous silk but it's not great on me, I much prefer Gosh for a natural finish. The LS looks a bit fake on me and shows up dry patches (even though I'm quite oily) so should I splash out on Maestro? What's coverage like? (i have some broken veins and redness, but hate anything heavy)

I got some of this today... It is very light cover. Doesn't cover freckles or blemishes really but kind of reduces them. It's lovely to put on and looks very natural but better. If that makes sense.

well i like natural so might give it a go..but won't be giving up my Laura Mercier concealer on top, where needed! It's not shiny / glowy is it?

Apparently there's only a few shades? was it hard to find the right one? there's no natural light where i'll be choosing

No, it's not shiny at all and I agree re the concealer.

I guessed the shade as got mine online. Fortunately appear to have made right decision but I have quite pale skin so it's a safe bet to get for shade 02 or 03. I went for 03 and it's a tiny bit lighter than I expected.

It's hard to describe the cover. It's not like tinted moisturiser but it's not like a heavier foundation either. It's covers but kind of disappears while still making my skin look better.

I'm not entirely sure I'll be giving up my usual (La Prairie) for it until we get to summer but I am a little older (47) and so perhaps need a bit more help these days.

i'm 42 this week but still quite oily, tinted moisturisers are horrendous on me. However with ageing goes the broken veins hence needing more coverage!

I have this too, it's nice but is very low coverage as already noted, and, (as I have oily skin too) although it doesn't have silicones in it has that sort of 'slip' to it which means it doesn't last that long (on me!). I'm reaching far more for the new Chanel perfection lumiere, which is lovely - great coverage (topped with secret camoflage!) and long lasting. I'm 40.

The Chanel foundations are lovely, I think, but they all give me spots.

I've still got quite oily skin too and also don't get on with tinted moisturiser. I like this product a lot. I'm very fickle with foundation though - my search for the perfect product is like the quest for the Holy Grail...

Lizzy, that Armani foundation is a bit marmite so ask for a sample (they were very nice about giving me a sample). It's an unusual texture so you need to try it out for a full day on your skin. There's nothing else really similar in texture to compare it with, so you need to try it out. Personally I won't cough up £25+ on a bottle of foundation without trying a sample, and ideally being able to test it with different moisturisiers or primers etc underneath as these often make quite a big difference to the whole look and feel and performance of the makeup. (I spend more time thinking about this stuff than is really useful, I fear).

Did you read India Knight's piece in the Sunday Times Style this weekend? She really rates it very highly.
