Natural Redheads who need to dye their hair to cover grey hairs....

If you are a natural redhead who now needs to dye their hair to cover stray grey/white hair coming through please tell me which product you use!
I have naturally ginger hair and have been trying to ignore the white/grey strands coming through but it has come to the point that I can't ignore it any longer and want to try and dye it as close to my natural colour as possible (if people can't notice that would be fabulous, although I realise that this is unlikely!). So fellow redheads, what do you recommend?

I am reviving this thread to say HELLP. I've been dyeing my hair with John Frieda's Lightest Copper Brown which has now been discontinued! Any advice, anyone?

I have been using Loreal Ginger Twist. I find that as I get older my dark red hair is becoming darker and less bright. Loreal ginger twist lightens just enough and I love the added highlights! I’m turning 60 and have tried a lot of differen dyes. This is absolutely the best and most natural looking red I have found.I’ve also noticed that the highlights help hide the gray longer.

Hi, I found this thread while looking for hair dyes and most mentioned are no longer available. From the selection currently available what are natural redheads finding that covers greys and boost fading red? I was using Garnier Nutrisse 7.34 but can't it anywhere now :(

I use Madison Reede hair color. It's a bit pricey (for a box color), but it doesn't damage your hair. And if your hair is thick/have a lot of hair, I recommend getting two boxes.

As this thread has appeared in active, I agree with previous posters who use Henna. It's cheap, natural and nourishes the hair. It's really works well with red hair.

My hair isn't grey yet, but I am older in years and have thick copper coloured hair that has lightened slightly with sun and time. I use a colour depositing product for copper hair: Davine's Alchemic shampoo and conditioner. I love it! It's expensive, but I don't use it all the time and I love the little zing it puts back in my hair if I feel like a lift. The Davine's Alchemic comes in red or copper - worth knowing.( I sometimes wrap my hair up with the conditioner still on and have a long bath before rinsing it off, just to give the product a bit longer to "take", if you see what I mean).
