Hourglassy pear shapes: where do you buy your clothes?

Hello! Please please advise me! I'm trying in vain to get some spring/summer clothes and having a bit of a nightmare. I'm somewhere between an hourglass and a pear shape (large bottom, reasonably busty, and what I would call a well-proportioned waist), usually a size 12-14, but everything looks rubbish on me. The only jeans that don't gape at the waist are Levi bold curve (but they do v limited range of styles and colours) - I wanted some nice trousers but have same problem. Wanted a blazer, but if they fit bust and hips I seem to create a vast and hideous rectangular shape in the middle; tried on dresses but look the size of a house because of all the bulk around the middle. I'm starting to feel a bit despondent!
Shift dresses tend to really suit (have a v lovely one from LK Bennett which looks tres va-va-voom) but am a SAHP, so this is not how I want to dress on a day-to-day basis!
Can anyone recommend a brand I should look at - someone designing for female-shaped women?
(Ps am 43, reasonably stylish but not very trendy if that makes sense, tend to buy fewer but more expensive items)
Thank you (I hope) in advance!

Hello! Not sure how helpful I can be, as on maternity leave and living in feeding tops and jeans at the moment, but usually am a similar shape to you, size 10 in dresses, 12 in jeans - all depends on particular item. I too often struggle with the high street, I find smart dressing way easier than casual, not sure why.
Anyway, I like:
Whistles for blazers, jackets and tops. Keen to try their dresses, too.
Oasis for jeans, if on a budget. Have splashed out on 7 before, now quite keen to try J brand.
Reiss for tops and skirts - overpriced to be honest, but my stuff has lasted well
Jigsaw, but only for a couple of classic items, e.g. black pencil skirt
Esprit for smart/casual dresses

I never, ever wear trousers, just don't have the figure for them, I'm too curvy.

I have the same problem. I'm super curvy size 8-10 . I want a blazer but like you say they are all massive in back. It's my small bit and I need it fitted .

Thank you! Will try Whistles and Reiss. Now starting to wonder if I should get stuff altered. During a brief wealthy moment whilst employed I bought a Cerruti suit which they were able to alter slightly in the time it took me to go and have some lunch - it does something amazing to you psychologically if you feel that your clothes really fit.
Do Gap do high rise non-skinny jeans? (Skinny make my legs look v carrot-shaped)

I am hourglass tiny waist biggish bum.
Best fitting trousers for me are Monsoon limited styles but fit me very well.No waist gap.
Jeans I go to GAP but grab an assistant they are very helpful.
Dresses I just experiment and try on.

I have Gap skinny jeans too and think they are great. Personally I find them slim not skinny and proper denim so more forgiving than some of the v elasticated ones out there ie your leg looks normal! Otherwise, try Gap curvy bootcut. I also have some of the Boden cropped trousers (can't link at the moment but they should be easy to find), which are a good fit, although I find I can't get on with their jeans at the moment. I used to find their straightcut jeans fantastic but they don't sit right on me now. Might be worth a try for you?
I have concluded I can't wear dresses at all. I have a big bust and a long waist so dresses tend to end up empire line at best, so I look like a little girl with massive mammaries, which is a v bad look! But I do like skirts and tucked in shirts instead, with vest or t shirt underneath and buttons undone to mid boob to break it all up and to resolve any gaping issue which might otherwise arise. Gives waist definition too. I know lots of women with big boobs have short waists so it doesn't work, but its worth a go. And if you keep things reasonably plain, then its not so hard to coordinate. I also think jersey shirts (Boden or White stuff do good ones) help if you need a bit of stretch in some areas but a more fitted look elsewhere.
Blazer ... Holy grail I think. I have an ancient jersey one (was a jersey blazer thread on here last week) from Next but have never found one like it. Sorry.
